Zechariah 12:9-10

New American Standard Bible

⁹And on that day I will ^(A)seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

¹⁰“And I will ^(B)pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem ^[a]the Spirit of grace and of pleading, so that they will look at Me whom they ^(C)pierced; and they will mourn for Him, like one ^(D)mourning for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

Mourning for the One They Pierced

¹⁰“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit^[a]^(C) of grace and supplication.^(D) They will look on^[b] me, the one they have pierced,^(E) and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child,^(F) and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.^(G)
