Romans 9:15

¹⁵For He says to Moses, “^(A)I will have mercy on whomever I have mercy, and I will show compassion to whomever I show compassion.”

¹⁵For he says to Moses,

“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”^[a]^(A)

¹⁶We know love by this, that ^(A)He laid down His life for us; and ^(B)we ought to lay down our lives for the ^(C)brothers and sisters.

¹⁶This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.^(A) And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.^(B)
