³ If you, O Lord, should ^(A)mark iniquities,
    O Lord, who could ^(B)stand?
⁴ But with you there is ^(C)forgiveness,
    ^(D)that you may be feared.

⁵ I ^(E)wait for the Lord, ^(F)my soul waits,
    and ^(G)in his word I hope;
⁶ my soul ^(H)waits for the Lord
    more than ^(I)watchmen for ^(J)the morning,
    more than watchmen for the morning.

⁷ O Israel, ^(K)hope in the Lord!
    For ^(L)with the Lord there is steadfast love,
    and with him is plentiful redemption.
⁸ And he will ^(M)redeem Israel
    from all his iniquities.
