New International Version
Psalm 143:6-8
New American Standard Bible
7 (C)Answer me quickly, Lord, my (D)spirit fails;
(E)Do not hide Your face from me,
Or I will be the same as (F)those who go down to the pit.
8 Let me hear Your (G)faithfulness (H)in the morning,
For I trust (I)in You;
Teach me the (J)way in which I should walk;
For to You I (K)lift up my soul.
Psalm 143:6-8
English Standard Version
Psalm 143:6-8
Contemporary English Version
6 Then I lift my hands in prayer,
because my soul is a desert,
thirsty for water from you.
7 Please hurry, Lord,
and answer my prayer.
I feel hopeless.
Don't turn away
and leave me here to die.
8 Each morning let me learn
more about your love
because I trust you.
I come to you in prayer,
asking for your guidance.
Psalm 143:6-8
New Living Translation
6 I lift my hands to you in prayer.
I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Interlude
7 Come quickly, Lord, and answer me,
for my depression deepens.
Don’t turn away from me,
or I will die.
8 Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you.
