⁷ The fear of the Lord^(A) is the beginning of knowledge,
    but fools^[a] despise wisdom^(B) and instruction.^(C)

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
    and naked I will depart.^[a](D)
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;^(E)
    may the name of the Lord be praised.”^(F)

¹³ Now all has been heard;
    here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God^(A) and keep his commandments,^(B)
    for this is the duty of all mankind.^(C)
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,^(D)
    including every hidden thing,^(E)
    whether it is good or evil.
