3 (A)I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always offering prayer with joy in (B)my every prayer for you all, 5 in view of your [a](C)participation in the (D)gospel (E)from the first day until now. 6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work [b]among you will complete it [c]by (F)the day of Christ Jesus. 7 [d]For (G)it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I (H)have you in my heart, since both in my [e](I)imprisonment and in the (J)defense and confirmation of the (K)gospel, you all are [f]partakers of grace with me. 8 For (L)God is my witness, how I long for you all with the [g]affection of (M)Christ Jesus.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

3 I thank my God every time I remember you.(A) 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray(B) with joy 5 because of your partnership(C) in the gospel from the first day(D) until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion(E) until the day of Christ Jesus.(F)

7 It is right(G) for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart(H) and, whether I am in chains(I) or defending(J) and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. 8 God can testify(K) how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
