29 If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are (A)visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord creates (B)a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they (C)go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.”

31 (D)Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and (E)all the men with Korah, with all their goods. 33 So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.

29 If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me.(A) 30 But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth(B) and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead,(C) then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt.(D)

31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart(E) 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them(F) and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions. 33 They went down alive into the realm of the dead,(G) with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community.
