26 Þá er þeir mötuðust, tók Jesús brauð, þakkaði Guði, braut það og gaf lærisveinunum og sagði: "Takið og etið, þetta er líkami minn."
27 Og hann tók kaleik, gjörði þakkir, gaf þeim og sagði: "Drekkið allir hér af.
28 Þetta er blóð mitt, blóð sáttmálans, úthellt fyrir marga til fyrirgefningar synda.
29 Ég segi yður: Héðan í frá mun ég eigi drekka af þessum vínviðar ávexti til þess dags, er ég drekk hann nýjan með yður í ríki föður míns."

Matthew 26:26-29
New International Version
26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it(A) and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
27 Then he took a cup,(B) and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the[a] covenant,(C) which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.(D) 29 I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you(E) in my Father’s kingdom.”
