3 有 一 个 法 利 赛 人 ， 名 叫 尼 哥 底 母 ， 是 犹 太 人 的 官 。
2 这 人 夜 里 来 见 耶 稣 ， 说 「 拉 比 ， 我 们 知 道 你 是 由 神 那 来 作 师 傅 的 ； 因 为 你 所 行 的 神 迹 ， 若 没 有 神 同 在 ， 无 人 能 行 。 」
3 耶 稣 回 答 说 ： 「 我 实 实 在 在 地 告 诉 你 ， 人 若 不 重 生 ， 就 不 能 见 神 的 国 。 」
4 尼 哥 底 母 说 ： 「 人 已 经 老 了 ， 如 何 能 重 生 呢 ？ 岂 能 再 进 母 腹 生 出 来 吗 ？ 」
5 耶 稣 说 ： 「 我 实 实 在 在 的 告 诉 你 ， 人 若 不 是 从 水 和 圣 灵 生 的 ， 就 不 能 进 神 的 国 。
6 从 肉 身 生 的 就 是 肉 身 ； 从 灵 生 的 就 是 灵 。
7 我 说 ： 『 你 们 必 须 重 生 』 ， 你 不 要 以 为 希 奇 。
8 风 随 着 意 思 吹 ， 你 听 见 风 的 响 声 ， 却 不 晓 得 从 那 里 来 ， 往 那 里 去 ； 凡 从 圣 灵 生 的 ， 也 是 如 此 。 」
9 尼 哥 底 母 问 他 说 ： 「 怎 能 有 这 事 呢 ？ 」
10 耶 稣 回 答 说 ： 「 你 是 以 色 列 人 的 先 生 ， 还 不 明 白 这 事 吗 ？
11 我 实 实 在 在 的 告 诉 你 ， 我 们 所 说 的 是 我 们 知 道 的 ； 我 们 所 见 证 的 是 我 们 见 过 的 ； 你 们 却 不 领 受 我 们 的 见 证 。
12 我 对 你 们 说 地 上 的 事 ， 你 们 尚 且 不 信 ， 若 说 天 上 的 事 ， 如 何 能 信 呢 ？
13 除 了 从 天 降 下 、 仍 旧 在 天 的 人 子 ， 没 有 人 升 过 天 。
14 摩 西 在 旷 野 怎 样 举 蛇 ， 人 子 也 必 照 样 被 举 起 来 ，
15 叫 一 切 信 他 的 都 得 永 生 （ 或 作 ： 叫 一 切 信 的 人 在 他 里 面 得 永 生 ） 。
16 「 神 爱 世 人 ， 甚 至 将 他 的 独 生 子 赐 给 他 们 ， 叫 一 切 信 他 的 ， 不 至 灭 亡 ， 反 得 永 生 。
17 因 为 神 差 他 的 儿 子 降 世 ， 不 是 要 定 世 人 的 罪 （ 或 作 ： 审 判 世 人 ； 下 同 ） ， 乃 是 要 叫 世 人 因 他 得 救 。
18 信 他 的 人 ， 不 被 定 罪 ； 不 信 的 人 ， 罪 已 经 定 了 ， 因 为 他 不 信 神 独 生 子 的 名 。
19 光 来 到 世 间 ， 世 人 因 自 己 的 行 为 是 恶 的 ， 不 爱 光 ， 倒 爱 黑 暗 ， 定 他 们 的 罪 就 是 在 此 。
20 凡 作 恶 的 便 恨 光 ， 并 不 来 就 光 ， 恐 怕 他 的 行 为 受 责 备 。
21 但 行 真 理 的 必 来 就 光 ， 要 显 明 他 所 行 的 是 靠 神 而 行 。 」
22 这 事 以 後 ， 耶 稣 和 门 徒 到 了 犹 太 地 ， 在 那 里 居 住 ， 施 洗 。
23 约 翰 在 靠 近 撒 冷 的 哀 嫩 也 施 洗 ； 因 为 那 里 水 多 ， 众 人 都 去 受 洗 。

27 约 翰 说 ： 「 若 不 是 从 天 上 赐 的 ， 人 就 不 能 得 甚 麽 。
28 我 曾 说 ： 『 我 不 是 基 督 ， 是 奉 差 遣 在 他 前 面 的 』 ， 你 们 自 己 可 以 给 我 作 见 证 。
29 娶 新 妇 的 就 是 新 郎 ； 新 郎 的 朋 友 站 着 ， 听 见 新 郎 的 声 音 就 甚 喜 乐 。 故 此 ， 我 这 喜 乐 满 足 了 。
30 他 必 兴 旺 ， 我 必 衰 微 。 」
31 「 从 天 上 来 的 是 在 万 有 之 上 ； 从 地 上 来 的 是 属 乎 地 ， 他 所 说 的 也 是 属 乎 地 。 从 天 上 来 的 是 在 万 有 之 上 。
32 他 将 所 见 所 闻 的 见 证 出 来 ， 只 是 没 有 人 领 受 他 的 见 证 。
33 那 领 受 他 见 证 的 ， 就 印 上 印 ， 证 明 神 是 真 的 。
34 神 所 差 来 的 就 说 神 的 话 ， 因 为 神 赐 圣 灵 给 他 是 没 有 限 量 的 。
35 父 爱 子 ， 已 将 万 有 交 在 他 手 里 。
36 信 子 的 人 有 永 生 ； 不 信 子 的 人 得 不 着 永 生 （ 原 文 作 不 得 见 永 生 ） ， 神 的 震 怒 常 在 他 身 上 。 」

3 There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. 2 After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”
3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again,[a] you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
4 “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”
5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.[b] 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.[c] 7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You[d] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”
9 “How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked.
10 Jesus replied, “You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don’t understand these things? 11 I assure you, we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony. 12 But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man[e] has come down from heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.[f]
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[g] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. 19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.[h]”
John the Baptist Exalts Jesus
22 Then Jesus and his disciples left Jerusalem and went into the Judean countryside. Jesus spent some time with them there, baptizing people.
23 At this time John the Baptist was baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there; and people kept coming to him for baptism. 24 (This was before John was thrown into prison.) 25 A debate broke out between John’s disciples and a certain Jew[i] over ceremonial cleansing. 26 So John’s disciples came to him and said, “Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.”
27 John replied, “No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven. 28 You yourselves know how plainly I told you, ‘I am not the Messiah. I am only here to prepare the way for him.’ 29 It is the bridegroom who marries the bride, and the bridegroom’s friend is simply glad to stand with him and hear his vows. Therefore, I am filled with joy at his success. 30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
31 “He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else.[j] 32 He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them! 33 Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true. 34 For he is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit. 35 The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands. 36 And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

3 غَيْرَ أَنَّ إِنْسَاناً مِنَ الْفَرِّيسِيِّينَ، اسْمُهُ نِيقُودِيمُوسُ، وَهُوَ عُضْوٌ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ الْيَهُودِيِّ، 2 جَاءَ إِلَى يَسُوعَ لَيْلاً وَقَالَ لَهُ: «يَا مُعَلِّمُ، نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ جِئْتَ مِنَ اللهِ مُعَلِّماً، لأَنَّهُ لَا يَقْدِرُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ مَا تَعْمَلُ مِنْ آيَاتٍ إِلّا إِذَا كَانَ اللهُ مَعَهُ». 3 فَأَجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «الْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكَ: لَا أَحَدَ يُمْكِنُهُ أَنْ يَرَى مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ إِلّا إِذَا وُلِدَ مِنْ جَدِيدٍ». 4 فَسَأَلَهُ نِيقُودِيمُوسُ: «كَيْفَ يُمْكِنُ الإِنْسَانَ أَنْ يُولَدَ وَهُوَ كَبِيرُ السِّنِّ؟ أَلَعَلَّهُ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بَطْنَ أُمِّهِ ثَانِيَةً ثُمَّ يُولَدَ؟» 5 أَجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «الْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكَ: لَا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ أَحَدٌ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ إِلّا إِذَا وُلِدَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَالرُّوحِ. 6 فَالْمَوْلُودُ مِنَ الْجَسَدِ هُوَ جَسَدٌ، وَالْمَوْلُودُ مِنَ الرُّوحِ هُوَ رُوحٌ. 7 فَلا تَتَعَجَّبْ إِذَا قُلتُ لَكَ إِنَّكُمْ بِحَاجَةٍ إِلَى الْوِلادَةِ مِنْ جَدِيدٍ. 8 الرِّيحُ تَهُبُّ حَيْثُ تَشَاءُ وَتَسْمَعُ صَفِيرَهَا، وَلكِنَّكَ لَا تَعْلَمُ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْتِي وَلا إِلَى أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ. هكَذَا كُلُّ مَنْ وُلِدَ مِنَ الرُّوحِ».
9 فَعَادَ نِيقُودِيمُوسُ يَسْأَلُ: «كَيْفَ يُمْكِنُ أَنْ يَتِمَّ هَذَا؟» 10 أَجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «أَنْتَ مُعَلِّمُ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلا تَعْلَمُ هَذَا! 11 الْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكَ: إِنَّنَا نَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا نَعْلَمُ وَنَشْهَدُ بِمَا رَأَيْنَا، وَمَعَ ذلِكَ لَا تَقْبَلُونَ شَهَادَتَنَا. 12 إِنْ كُنْتُ حَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِأُمُورِ الأَرْضِ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا، فَكَيْفَ تُؤْمِنُونَ إِنْ حَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِأُمُورِ السَّمَاءِ؟ 13 وَمَا صَعِدَ أَحَدٌ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ إِلّا الَّذِي نَزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ الَّذِي هُوَ فِي السَّمَاءِ.
14 وَكَمَا عَلَّقَ مُوسَى الْحَيَّةَ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، فَكَذلِكَ لَا بُدَّ مِنْ أَنْ يُعَلَّقَ ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ، 15 لِتَكُونَ الْحَيَاةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ لِكُلِّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ. 16 لأَنَّهُ هكَذَا أَحَبَّ اللهُ الْعَالَمَ حَتَّى بَذَلَ ابْنَهُ الْوَحِيدَ، لِكَيْ لَا يَهْلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ، بَلْ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْحَيَاةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ. 17 فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يُرْسِلِ ابْنَهُ إِلَى الْعَالَمِ لِيَدِينَ الْعَالَمَ، بَلْ لِيَخْلُصَ الْعَالَمُ بِهِ، 18 فَالَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ لَا يُدَانُ، أَمَّا الَّذِي لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ فَقَدْ صَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ حُكْمُ الدَّيْنُونَةِ، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاسْمِ ابْنِ اللهِ الْوَحِيدِ. 19 وَهَذَا هُوَ الْحُكْمُ: إِنَّ النُّورَ قَدْ جَاءَ إِلَى الْعَالَمِ، وَلكِنَّ النَّاسَ أَحَبُّوا الظُّلْمَةَ أَكْثَرَ مِنَ النُّورِ، لأَنَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ كَانَتْ شِرِّيرَةً. 20 فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ الشَّرَّ يُبْغِضُ النُّورَ، وَلا يَأْتِي إِلَيْهِ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ تُفْضَحَ أَعْمَالُهُ. 21 وَأَمَّا الَّذِي يَسْلُكُ فِي الْحَقِّ فَيَأْتِي إِلَى النُّورِ لِتَظْهَرَ أَعْمَالُهُ وَيَتَبَيَّنَ أَنَّهَا عُمِلَتْ بِقُوَّةِ اللهِ».

22 وَذَهَبَ يَسُوعُ وَتَلامِيذُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى بِلادِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ وَأَقَامَ فِيهَا مَعَهُمْ، وَأَخَذَ يُعَمِّدُ. 23 وَكَانَ يُوحَنَّا أَيْضاً يُعَمِّدُ فِي عَيْنِ نُونٍ بِالْقُرْبِ مِنْ سَالِيمَ، لأَنَّ الْمِيَاهَ هُنَاكَ كَانَتْ كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَ النَّاسُ يَأْتُونَ وَيَتَعَمَّدُونَ. 24 فَإِنَّ يُوحَنَّا لَمْ يَكُنْ قَد أُلْقِيَ بَعْدُ فِي السِّجْنِ.
25 وَحَدَثَ جِدَالٌ بَيْنَ تَلامِيذِ يُوحَنَّا وَأَحَدِ الْيَهُودِ فِي شَأْنِ التَّطَهُّرِ. 26 فَذَهَبُوا إِلَى يُوحَنَّا وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «يَا مُعَلِّمُ، الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي رَأَيْنَاهُ مَعَكَ فِي مَا وَرَاءَ نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ، وَالَّذِي شَهِدْتَ لَهُ، هُوَ أَيْضاً يُعَمِّدُ، وَالْجَمِيعُ يَتَحَوَّلُونَ إِلَيْهِ!» 27 فَأَجَابَ يُوحَنَّا: «لا يَقْدِرُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَنَالَ شَيْئاً إِلّا إِذَا أُعْطِيَ لَهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ! 28 أَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ أَنِّي قُلْتُ: لَسْتُ الْمَسِيحَ، بَلْ أَنَا رَسُولٌ يُمَهِّدُ لَهُ الطَّرِيقَ. 29 وَمَنْ لَهُ الْعَرُوسُ، يَكُونُ هُوَ الْعَرِيسَ! أَمَّا صَدِيقُ الْعَرِيسِ، الَّذِي يَقِفُ قُرْبَهُ وَيَسْمَعُهُ، فَيَبْتَهِجُ لِفَرَحِهِ بِصَوْتِ الْعَرِيسِ. وَهَا إِنَّ فَرَحِي هَذَا قَدْ تَمَّ. 30 فَلابُدَّ أَنْ يَزِيدَ هُوَ وَأَنْقُصَ أَنَا».
31 الَّذِي يَأْتِي مِنْ فَوْقُ هُوَ فَوْقَ الْجَمِيعِ. أَمَّا مَنْ كَانَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ، فَإِنَّهُ أَرْضِيٌّ وَيَتَكَلَّمُ كَلاماً أَرْضِيًّا. الآتِي مِنْ فَوْقُ هُوَ فَوْقَ الْجَمِيعِ، 32 وَهُوَ يَشْهَدُ بِمَا سَمِعَ وَرَأَى، وَلا أَحَدَ يَقْبَلُ شَهَادَتَهُ! 33 عَلَى أَنَّ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ شَهَادَتَهُ، يُصَادِقُ عَلَى أَنَّ اللهَ حَقٌّ، 34 لأَنَّ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَهُ اللهُ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِكَلِامِ اللهِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ يُعْطِي الرُّوحَ لَيْسَ بِالْمِكْيَالِ. 35 فَالأَبُ يُحِبُّ الاِبْنَ، وَقَدْ جَعَلَ فِي يَدِهِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ. 36 مَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِالاِبْنِ، فَلَهُ الْحَيَاةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ. وَمَنْ يَرْفُضْ أَنْ يُؤْمِنَ بِالاِبْنِ، فَلَنْ يَرَى الْحَيَاةَ، بَلْ يَسْتَقِرَّ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبُ اللهِ.

Jesús y Nicodemo
3 Había un hombre de los fariseos que se llamaba Nicodemo, un principal entre los judíos. 2 Este vino a Jesús de noche, y le dijo: Rabí, sabemos que has venido de Dios como maestro; porque nadie puede hacer estas señales que tú haces, si no está Dios con él. 3 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de nuevo, no puede ver el reino de Dios. 4 Nicodemo le dijo: ¿Cómo puede un hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿Puede acaso entrar por segunda vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer? 5 Respondió Jesús: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios. 6 Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es; y lo que es nacido del Espíritu,[a] espíritu es. 7 No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer de nuevo. 8 El viento[b] sopla de donde quiere, y oyes su sonido; mas ni sabes de dónde viene, ni a dónde va; así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu. 9 Respondió Nicodemo y le dijo: ¿Cómo puede hacerse esto? 10 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: ¿Eres tú maestro de Israel, y no sabes esto? 11 De cierto, de cierto te digo, que lo que sabemos hablamos, y lo que hemos visto, testificamos; y no recibís nuestro testimonio. 12 Si os he dicho cosas terrenales, y no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os dijere las celestiales? 13 Nadie subió al cielo, sino el que descendió del cielo; el Hijo del Hombre, que está en el cielo. 14 Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto,(A) así es necesario que el Hijo del Hombre sea levantado, 15 para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.
De tal manera amó Dios al mundo
16 Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna. 17 Porque no envió Dios a su Hijo al mundo para condenar al mundo, sino para que el mundo sea salvo por él. 18 El que en él cree, no es condenado; pero el que no cree, ya ha sido condenado, porque no ha creído en el nombre del unigénito Hijo de Dios. 19 Y esta es la condenación: que la luz vino al mundo, y los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz, porque sus obras eran malas. 20 Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo, aborrece la luz y no viene a la luz, para que sus obras no sean reprendidas. 21 Mas el que practica la verdad viene a la luz, para que sea manifiesto que sus obras son hechas en Dios.
El amigo del esposo
22 Después de esto, vino Jesús con sus discípulos a la tierra de Judea, y estuvo allí con ellos, y bautizaba. 23 Juan bautizaba también en Enón, junto a Salim, porque había allí muchas aguas; y venían, y eran bautizados. 24 Porque Juan no había sido aún encarcelado.(B)
25 Entonces hubo discusión entre los discípulos de Juan y los judíos acerca de la purificación. 26 Y vinieron a Juan y le dijeron: Rabí, mira que el que estaba contigo al otro lado del Jordán, de quien tú diste testimonio, bautiza, y todos vienen a él. 27 Respondió Juan y dijo: No puede el hombre recibir nada, si no le fuere dado del cielo. 28 Vosotros mismos me sois testigos de que dije: Yo no soy el Cristo,(C) sino que soy enviado delante de él. 29 El que tiene la esposa, es el esposo; mas el amigo del esposo, que está a su lado y le oye, se goza grandemente de la voz del esposo; así pues, este mi gozo está cumplido. 30 Es necesario que él crezca, pero que yo mengüe.
El que viene de arriba
31 El que de arriba viene, es sobre todos; el que es de la tierra, es terrenal, y cosas terrenales habla; el que viene del cielo, es sobre todos. 32 Y lo que vio y oyó, esto testifica; y nadie recibe su testimonio. 33 El que recibe su testimonio, este atestigua que Dios es veraz. 34 Porque el que Dios envió, las palabras de Dios habla; pues Dios no da el Espíritu por medida. 35 El Padre ama al Hijo, y todas las cosas ha entregado en su mano.(D)
36 El que cree en el Hijo tiene vida eterna; pero el que rehúsa creer en el Hijo no verá la vida, sino que la ira de Dios está sobre él.
