1 太 初 有 道 ， 道 与 神 同 在 ， 道 就 是 神 。
2 这 道 太 初 与 神 同 在 。
3 万 物 是 藉 着 他 造 的 ； 凡 被 造 的 ， 没 有 一 样 不 是 藉 着 他 造 的 。
4 生 命 在 他 里 头 ， 这 生 命 就 是 人 的 光 。
5 光 照 在 黑 暗 里 ， 黑 暗 却 不 接 受 光 。
6 有 一 个 人 ， 是 从 神 那 里 差 来 的 ， 名 叫 约 翰 。
7 这 人 来 ， 为 要 作 见 证 ， 就 是 为 光 作 见 证 ， 叫 众 人 因 他 可 以 信 。
8 他 不 是 那 光 ， 乃 是 要 为 光 作 见 证 。
9 那 光 是 真 光 ， 照 亮 一 切 生 在 世 上 的 人 。
10 他 在 世 界 ， 世 界 也 是 藉 着 他 造 的 ， 世 界 却 不 认 识 他 。
11 他 到 自 己 的 地 方 来 ， 自 己 的 人 倒 不 接 待 他 。
12 凡 接 待 他 的 ， 就 是 信 他 名 的 人 ， 他 就 赐 他 们 权 柄 ， 作 神 的 儿 女 。
13 这 等 人 不 是 从 血 气 生 的 ， 不 是 从 情 欲 生 的 ， 也 不 是 从 人 意 生 的 ， 乃 是 从 神 生 的 。
14 道 成 了 肉 身 ， 住 在 我 们 中 间 ， 充 充 满 满 的 有 恩 典 有 真 理 。 我 们 也 见 过 他 的 荣 光 ， 正 是 父 独 生 子 的 荣 光 。
15 约 翰 为 他 作 见 证 ， 喊 着 说 ： 「 这 就 是 我 曾 说 ： 『 那 在 我 以 後 来 的 ， 反 成 了 在 我 以 前 的 ， 因 他 本 来 在 我 以 前 。 』 」
16 从 他 丰 满 的 恩 典 里 ， 我 们 都 领 受 了 ， 而 且 恩 上 加 恩 。
17 律 法 本 是 藉 着 摩 西 传 的 ； 恩 典 和 真 理 都 是 由 耶 稣 基 督 来 的 。
18 从 来 没 有 人 看 见 神 ， 只 有 在 父 怀 里 的 独 生 子 将 他 表 明 出 来 。

Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word
1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.[b]
6 God sent a man, John the Baptist,[c] 7 to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. 8 John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. 9 The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
10 He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
14 So the Word became human[d] and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.[e] And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
15 John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’”
16 From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.[f] 17 For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God,[g] is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

الكلمة صار جسداً
1 فِي الْبَدْءِ كَانَ الْكَلِمَةُ، وَالْكَلِمَةُ كَانَ عِنْدَ اللهِ. وَكَانَ الْكَلِمَةُ اللهُ. 2 هَذَا كَانَ فِي الْبَدْءِ عِنْدَ اللهِ. 3 بِهِ تَكَوَّنَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ، وَبِغَيْرِهِ لَمْ يَتَكَوَّنْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ مِمَّا تَكَوَّنَ. 4 فِيهِ كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ. وَالْحَيَاةُ كَانَتِ نُورَ النَّاسِ. 5 وَالنُّورُ يُضِيءُ فِي الظَّلامِ، وَالظَّلامُ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ النُّورَ.
6 ظَهَرَ إِنْسَانٌ أَرْسَلَهُ اللهُ، اسْمُهُ يُوحَنَّا، 7 جَاءَ يَشْهَدُ لِلنُّورِ، لِكَيْ يُؤْمِنَ الْجَمِيعُ بِوَاسِطَتِهِ. 8 لَمْ يَكُنْ هُوَ النُّورَ، بَلْ كَانَ شَاهِداً لِلنُّورِ، 9 فَالنُّورُ الْحَقُّ الَّذِي يُنِيرُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ كَانَ آتِياً إِلَى الْعَالَمِ. 10 كَانَ فِي الْعَالَمِ، وَبِهِ تَكَوَّنَ الْعَالَمُ، وَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ الْعَالَمُ. 11 وَقَدْ جَاءَ إِلَى خَاصَّتِهِ، وَلَكِنَّ هَؤُلاءِ لَمْ يَقْبَلُوهُ. 12 أَمَّا الَّذِينَ قَبِلُوهُ، أَيِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاسْمِهِ، فَقَدْ مَنَحَهُمُ الْحَقَّ فِي أَنْ يَصِيرُوا أَوْلادَ اللهِ، 13 وَهُمُ الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا لَيْسَ مِنْ دَمٍ، وَلا مِنْ رَغْبَةِ جَسَدٍ، وَلا مِنْ رَغْبَةِ بَشَرٍ، بَلْ مِنَ اللهِ.
14 وَالْكَلِمَةُ صَارَ بَشَراً، وَخَيَّمَ بَيْنَنَا، وَنَحْنُ رَأَيْنَا مَجْدَهُ، مَجْدَ ابْنٍ وَحِيدٍ عِنْدَ الآبِ، وَهُوَ مُمْتَلِىءٌ بِالنِّعْمَةِ وَالْحَقِّ. 15 شَهِدَ لَهُ يُوحَنَّا فَهَتَفَ قَائِلاً: «هَذَا هُوَ الَّذِي قُلْتُ عَنْهُ: إِنَّ الآتِيَ بَعْدِي مُتَقَدِّمٌ عَلَيَّ، لأَنَّهُ كَانَ قَبْلَ أَنْ أُوْجَدَ». 16 فَمِنِ امْتِلائِهِ أَخَذْنَا جَمِيعُنَا وَنِلْنَا نِعْمَةً عَلَى نِعْمَةٍ، 17 لأَنَّ الشَّرِيعَةَ أُعْطِيَتْ عَلَى يَدِ مُوسَى، أَمَّا النِّعْمَةُ وَالْحَقُّ فَقَدْ تَوَاجَدَا بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ. 18 مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ رَأَى اللهَ قَطُّ. وَلَكِنَّ الابْنَ الْوَحِيدَ، الَّذِي فِي حِضْنِ الآبِ، هُوَ الَّذِي خَبَّرَ عَنْهُ.

1 En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios. 2 Este era en el principio con Dios. 3 Todas las cosas por él fueron hechas, y sin él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho. 4 En él estaba la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres. 5 La luz en las tinieblas resplandece, y las tinieblas no prevalecieron contra ella.
6 Hubo un hombre enviado de Dios, el cual se llamaba Juan.(A) 7 Este vino por testimonio, para que diese testimonio de la luz, a fin de que todos creyesen por él. 8 No era él la luz, sino para que diese testimonio de la luz.
9 Aquella luz verdadera, que alumbra a todo hombre, venía a este mundo. 10 En el mundo estaba, y el mundo por él fue hecho; pero el mundo no le conoció. 11 A lo suyo vino, y los suyos no le recibieron. 12 Mas a todos los que le recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dio potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios; 13 los cuales no son engendrados de sangre, ni de voluntad de carne, ni de voluntad de varón, sino de Dios.
14 Y aquel Verbo fue hecho carne, y habitó entre nosotros (y vimos su gloria, gloria como del unigénito del Padre), lleno de gracia y de verdad. 15 Juan dio testimonio de él, y clamó diciendo: Este es de quien yo decía: El que viene después de mí, es antes de mí; porque era primero que yo. 16 Porque de su plenitud tomamos todos, y gracia sobre gracia. 17 Pues la ley por medio de Moisés fue dada, pero la gracia y la verdad vinieron por medio de Jesucristo. 18 A Dios nadie le vio jamás; el unigénito Hijo, que está en el seno del Padre, él le ha dado a conocer.

1 Au commencement était la Parole, et la Parole était avec Dieu, et la Parole était Dieu.
2 Elle était au commencement avec Dieu.
3 Toutes choses ont été faites par elle, et rien de ce qui a été fait n'a été fait sans elle.
4 En elle était la vie, et la vie était la lumière des hommes.
5 La lumière luit dans les ténèbres, et les ténèbres ne l'ont point reçue.
6 Il y eut un homme envoyé de Dieu: son nom était Jean.
7 Il vint pour servir de témoin, pour rendre témoignage à la lumière, afin que tous crussent par lui.
8 Il n'était pas la lumière, mais il parut pour rendre témoignage à la lumière.
9 Cette lumière était la véritable lumière, qui, en venant dans le monde, éclaire tout homme.
10 Elle était dans le monde, et le monde a été fait par elle, et le monde ne l'a point connue.
11 Elle est venue chez les siens, et les siens ne l'ont point reçue.
12 Mais à tous ceux qui l'ont reçue, à ceux qui croient en son nom, elle a donné le pouvoir de devenir enfants de Dieu, lesquels sont nés,
13 non du sang, ni de la volonté de la chair, ni de la volonté de l'homme, mais de Dieu.
14 Et la parole a été faite chair, et elle a habité parmi nous, pleine de grâce et de vérité; et nous avons contemplé sa gloire, une gloire comme la gloire du Fils unique venu du Père.
15 Jean lui a rendu témoignage, et s'est écrié: C'est celui dont j'ai dit: Celui qui vient après moi m'a précédé, car il était avant moi.
16 Et nous avons tous reçu de sa plénitude, et grâce pour grâce;
17 car la loi a été donnée par Moïse, la grâce et la vérité sont venues par Jésus Christ.
18 Personne n'a jamais vu Dieu; le Fils unique, qui est dans le sein du Père, est celui qui l'a fait connaître.
