Betrayal and Arrest in Gethsemane(A)
18 When Jesus had spoken these words, (B)He went out with His disciples over (C)the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered. 2 And Judas, who betrayed Him, also knew the place; (D)for Jesus often met there with His disciples. 3 (E)Then Judas, having received a detachment of troops, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, (F)knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?”
5 They answered Him, (G)“Jesus [a]of Nazareth.”
Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who (H)betrayed Him, also stood with them. 6 Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
7 Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”
And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
8 Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,” 9 that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, (I)“Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”
10 (J)Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink (K)the cup which My Father has given Me?”
Before the High Priest
12 Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him. 13 And (L)they led Him away to (M)Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of (N)Caiaphas who was high priest that year. 14 (O)Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was [b]expedient that one man should die for the people.
Peter Denies Jesus(P)
15 (Q)And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did (R)another[c] disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and went with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest. 16 (S)But Peter stood at the door outside. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in. 17 Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, “You are not also one of this Man’s disciples, are you?”
He said, “I am (T)not.”
18 Now the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold, and they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself.
Jesus Questioned by the High Priest
19 The high priest then asked Jesus about His disciples and His doctrine.
20 Jesus answered him, (U)“I spoke openly to the world. I always taught (V)in synagogues and (W)in the temple, where [d]the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing. 21 Why do you ask Me? Ask (X)those who have heard Me what I said to them. Indeed they know what I said.”
22 And when He had said these things, one of the officers who stood by (Y)struck[e] Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, “Do You answer the high priest like that?”
23 Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?”
24 (Z)Then Annas sent Him bound to (AA)Caiaphas the high priest.
Peter Denies Twice More
25 Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. (AB)Therefore they said to him, “You are not also one of His disciples, are you?”
He denied it and said, “I am not!”
26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” 27 Peter then denied again; and (AC)immediately a rooster crowed.
In Pilate’s Court(AD)
28 (AE)Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. (AF)But they themselves did not go into the [f]Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover. 29 (AG)Pilate then went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?”
30 They answered and said to him, “If He were not [g]an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you.”
31 Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.”
Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,” 32 (AH)that the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which He spoke, (AI)signifying by what death He would die.
33 (AJ)Then Pilate entered the [h]Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
34 Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”
35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”
36 (AK)Jesus answered, (AL)“My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, (AM)that I should bear (AN)witness to the truth. Everyone who (AO)is of the truth (AP)hears My voice.”
38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, (AQ)“I find no fault in Him at all.
Taking the Place of Barabbas(AR)
39 (AS)“But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
40 (AT)Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” (AU)Now Barabbas was a robber.
The Soldiers Mock Jesus(AV)
19 So then (AW)Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. 2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. 3 [i]Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they (AX)struck Him with their hands.
4 Pilate then went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, (AY)that you may know that I find no fault in Him.”
Pilate’s Decision
5 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!”
6 (AZ)Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”
Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.”
7 The Jews answered him, (BA)“We have a law, and according to [j]our law He ought to die, because (BB)He made Himself the Son of God.”
8 Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid, 9 and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” (BC)But Jesus gave him no answer.
10 Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have [k]power to crucify You, and power to release You?”
11 Jesus answered, (BD)“You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore (BE)the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
12 From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. (BF)Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”
13 (BG)When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha. 14 Now (BH)it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, “Behold your King!”
15 But they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!”
Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?”
The chief priests answered, (BI)“We have no king but Caesar!”
16 (BJ)Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. Then they took Jesus [l]and led Him away.
The King on a Cross(BK)
17 (BL)And He, bearing His cross, (BM)went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, 18 where they crucified Him, and (BN)two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. 19 (BO)Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:
JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.
21 Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.” ’ ”
22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
23 (BP)Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece. 24 They said therefore among themselves, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says:

And for My clothing they cast lots.”
Therefore the soldiers did these things.
Behold Your Mother
25 (BR)Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of (BS)Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and (BT)the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, (BU)“Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her (BV)to his own home.
It Is Finished
28 After this, Jesus, [m]knowing that all things were now accomplished, (BW)that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and (BX)they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, (BY)“It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Jesus’ Side Is Pierced
31 (BZ)Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, (CA)that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a (CB)high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately (CC)blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is (CD)true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may (CE)believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, (CF)“Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, (CG)“They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”
Jesus Buried in Joseph’s Tomb(CH)
38 (CI)After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, (CJ)for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. 39 And (CK)Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of (CL)myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. 40 Then they took the body of Jesus, and (CM)bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. 42 So (CN)there they laid Jesus, (CO)because of the Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby.
The Empty Tomb(CP)
20 Now the (CQ)first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the (CR)stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the (CS)other disciple, (CT)whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”
3 (CU)Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. 4 So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5 And he, stooping down and looking in, saw (CV)the linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and (CW)the [n]handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. 8 Then the (CX)other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not [o]know the (CY)Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.
Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord
11 (CZ)But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14 (DA)Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and (DB)did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16 Jesus said to her, (DC)“Mary!”
She turned and said to [p]Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet (DD)ascended to My Father; but go to (DE)My brethren and say to them, (DF)‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to (DG)My God and your God.’ ”
18 (DH)Mary Magdalene came and told the [q]disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.
The Apostles Commissioned(DI)
19 (DJ)Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were [r]assembled, for (DK)fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, (DL)“Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He (DM)showed them His hands and His side. (DN)Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! (DO)As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 (DP)If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
Seeing and Believing
24 Now Thomas, (DQ)called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”
So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and (DR)reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be (DS)unbelieving, but believing.”
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, [s]“Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. (DT)Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
That You May Believe
30 And (DU)truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 (DV)but these are written that (DW)you may believe that Jesus (DX)is the Christ, the Son of God, (DY)and that believing you may have life in His name.
Breakfast by the Sea
21 After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the (DZ)Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: 2 Simon Peter, (EA)Thomas called the Twin, (EB)Nathanael of (EC)Cana in Galilee, (ED)the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and [t]immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. 4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples (EE)did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Then (EF)Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”
They answered Him, “No.”
6 And He said to them, (EG)“Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
7 Therefore (EH)that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. 8 But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. 9 Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”
11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12 Jesus said to them, (EI)“Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. 13 Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.
14 This is now (EJ)the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.
Jesus Restores Peter
15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of [u]Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I [v]love You.”
He said to him, (EK)“Feed My lambs.”
16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of [w]Jonah, do you love Me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I [x]love You.”
(EL)He said to him, “Tend My (EM)sheep.”
17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of [y]Jonah, do you [z]love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”
And he said to Him, “Lord, (EN)You know all things; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. 18 (EO)Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 This He spoke, signifying (EP)by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, (EQ)“Follow Me.”
The Beloved Disciple and His Book
20 Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple (ER)whom Jesus loved following, (ES)who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?” 21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?”
22 Jesus said to him, “If I [aa]will that he remain (ET)till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”
23 Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who (EU)testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
25 (EV)And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, (EW)I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

拿住耶稣

耶稣在彼拉多前受审

查不出耶稣有什么罪
38 彼拉多说：“真理是什么呢？”说了这话，又出来到犹太人那里，对他们说：“我查不出他有什么罪来。 39 但你们有个规矩，在逾越节要我给你们释放一个人，你们要我给你们释放犹太人的王吗？” 40 他们又喊着说：“不要这人！要巴拉巴！”这巴拉巴是个强盗。
戏弄耶稣
19 当下彼拉多将耶稣鞭打了。 2 兵丁用荆棘编做冠冕，戴在他头上，给他穿上紫袍， 3 又挨近他，说：“恭喜，犹太人的王啊！”他们就用手掌打他。 4 彼拉多又出来对众人说：“我带他出来见你们，叫你们知道我查不出他有什么罪来。” 5 耶稣出来，戴着荆棘冠冕，穿着紫袍。彼拉多对他们说：“你们看，这个人！” 6 祭司长和差役看见他，就喊着说：“钉他十字架！钉他十字架！”彼拉多说：“你们自己把他钉十字架吧，我查不出他有什么罪来。” 7 犹太人回答说：“我们有律法，按那律法，他是该死的！因他以自己为神的儿子。” 8 彼拉多听见这话，越发害怕， 9 又进衙门，对耶稣说：“你是哪里来的？”耶稣却不回答。 10 彼拉多说：“你不对我说话吗？你岂不知我有权柄释放你，也有权柄把你钉十字架吗？” 11 耶稣回答说：“若不是从上头赐给你的，你就毫无权柄办我。所以，把我交给你的那人罪更重了。” 12 从此彼拉多想要释放耶稣，无奈犹太人喊着说：“你若释放这个人，就不是恺撒的忠臣[a]。凡以自己为王的，就是背叛恺撒了。” 13 彼拉多听见这话，就带耶稣出来，到了一个地方，名叫铺华石处，希伯来话叫厄巴大，就在那里坐堂。 14 那日是预备逾越节的日子，约有午正。彼拉多对犹太人说：“看哪，这是你们的王！” 15 他们喊着说：“除掉他！除掉他！钉他在十字架上！”彼拉多说：“我可以把你们的王钉十字架吗？”祭司长回答说：“除了恺撒，我们没有王！” 16 于是，彼拉多将耶稣交给他们去钉十字架。
耶稣被钉十字架
17 他们就把耶稣带了去。耶稣背着自己的十字架出来，到了一个地方，名叫髑髅地，希伯来话叫各各他。 18 他们就在那里钉他在十字架上，还有两个人和他一同钉着，一边一个，耶稣在中间。 19 彼拉多又用牌子写了一个名号，安在十字架上，写的是：“犹太人的王，拿撒勒人耶稣。” 20 有许多犹太人念这名号，因为耶稣被钉十字架的地方与城相近，并且是用希伯来、罗马、希腊三样文字写的。 21 犹太人的祭司长就对彼拉多说：“不要写‘犹太人的王’，要写‘他自己说我是犹太人的王’。” 22 彼拉多说：“我所写的，我已经写上了。”
23 兵丁既然将耶稣钉在十字架上，就拿他的衣服分为四份，每兵一份。又拿他的里衣，这件里衣原来没有缝儿，是上下一片织成的。 24 他们就彼此说：“我们不要撕开，只要拈阄，看谁得着。”这要应验经上的话说：“他们分了我的外衣，为我的里衣拈阄。”兵丁果然做了这事。
将母亲托付约翰
25 站在耶稣十字架旁边的，有他母亲与他母亲的姐妹，并革罗罢的妻子马利亚和抹大拉的马利亚。 26 耶稣见母亲和他所爱的那门徒站在旁边，就对他母亲说：“母亲[b]，看，你的儿子！” 27 又对那门徒说：“看，你的母亲！”从此，那门徒就接她到自己家里去了。
28 这事以后，耶稣知道各样的事已经成了，为要使经上的话应验，就说：“我渴了。” 29 有一个器皿盛满了醋，放在那里。他们就拿海绒蘸满了醋，绑在牛膝草上，送到他口。 30 耶稣尝[c]了那醋，就说：“成了！”便低下头，将灵魂交付神了。
主的骨头一根也不折断
31 犹太人因这日是预备日，又因那安息日是个大日，就求彼拉多叫人打断他们的腿，把他们拿去，免得尸首当安息日留在十字架上。 32 于是兵丁来，把头一个人的腿，并与耶稣同钉第二个人的腿，都打断了。 33 只是来到耶稣那里，见他已经死了，就不打断他的腿。 34 唯有一个兵拿枪扎他的肋旁，随即有血和水流出来。 35 看见这事的那人就作见证，他的见证也是真的，并且他知道自己所说的是真的，叫你们也可以信。 36 这些事成了，为要应验经上的话说：“他的骨头一根也不可折断。” 37 经上又有一句说：“他们要仰望自己所扎的人。”
安放在新坟墓里
38 这些事以后，有亚利马太人约瑟，是耶稣的门徒，只因怕犹太人，就暗暗地做门徒，他来求彼拉多，要把耶稣的身体领去。彼拉多允准，他就把耶稣的身体领去了。 39 又有尼哥迪慕，就是先前夜里去见耶稣的，带着没药和沉香约有一百斤前来。 40 他们就照犹太人殡葬的规矩，把耶稣的身体用细麻布加上香料裹好了。 41 在耶稣钉十字架的地方有一个园子，园子里有一座新坟墓，是从来没有葬过人的。 42 只因是犹太人的预备日，又因那坟墓近，他们就把耶稣安放在那里。
马利亚往看坟墓
20 七日的第一日清早，天还黑的时候，抹大拉的马利亚来到坟墓那里，看见石头从坟墓挪开了， 2 就跑来见西门彼得和耶稣所爱的那个门徒，对他们说：“有人把主从坟墓里挪了去，我们不知道放在哪里！” 3 彼得和那门徒就出来，往坟墓那里去。 4 两个人同跑，那门徒比彼得跑的更快，先到了坟墓， 5 低头往里看，就见细麻布还放在那里，只是没有进去。 6 西门彼得随后也到了，进坟墓里去，就看见细麻布还放在那里， 7 又看见耶稣的裹头巾没有和细麻布放在一处，是另在一处卷着。 8 先到坟墓的那门徒也进去，看见就信了。 9 因为他们还不明白圣经的意思，就是耶稣必要从死里复活。 10 于是两个门徒回自己的住处去了。
见证主复活
11 马利亚却站在坟墓外面哭。哭的时候，低头往坟墓里看， 12 就见两个天使，穿着白衣，在安放耶稣身体的地方坐着，一个在头，一个在脚。 13 天使对她说：“妇人，你为什么哭？”她说：“因为有人把我主挪了去，我不知道放在哪里。” 14 说了这话，就转过身来，看见耶稣站在那里，却不知道是耶稣。 15 耶稣问她说：“妇人，为什么哭？你找谁呢？”马利亚以为是看园的，就对他说：“先生，若是你把他移了去，请告诉我你把他放在哪里，我便去取他。” 16 耶稣说：“马利亚！”马利亚就转过来，用希伯来话对他说：“拉波尼！”（“拉波尼”就是“夫子”的意思。） 17 耶稣说：“不要摸我，因我还没有升上去见我的父。你往我弟兄那里去，告诉他们说我要升上去见我的父，也是你们的父，见我的神，也是你们的神。” 18 抹大拉的马利亚就去告诉门徒说：“我已经看见了主！”她又将主对她说的这话告诉他们。
19 那日，就是七日的第一日晚上，门徒所在的地方，因怕犹太人，门都关了。耶稣来站在当中，对他们说：“愿你们平安！” 20 说了这话，就把手和肋旁指给他们看。门徒看见主，就喜乐了。 21 耶稣又对他们说：“愿你们平安！父怎样差遣了我，我也照样差遣你们。” 22 说了这话，就向他们吹一口气，说：“你们受圣灵！ 23 你们赦免谁的罪，谁的罪就赦免了；你们留下谁的罪，谁的罪就留下了。”
多马不信
24 那十二个门徒中有称为低土马的多马，耶稣来的时候，他没有和他们同在。 25 那些门徒就对他说：“我们已经看见主了！”多马却说：“我非看见他手上的钉痕，用指头探入那钉痕，又用手探入他的肋旁，我总不信。”
多马释疑
26 过了八日，门徒又在屋里，多马也和他们同在。门都关了，耶稣来站在当中说：“愿你们平安！” 27 就对多马说：“伸过你的指头来，摸[d]我的手！伸出你的手来，探入我的肋旁！不要疑惑，总要信！” 28 多马说：“我的主！我的神！” 29 耶稣对他说：“你因看见了我才信，那没有看见就信的有福了！”
30 耶稣在门徒面前另外行了许多神迹，没有记在这书上。 31 但记这些事要叫你们信耶稣是基督，是神的儿子，并且叫你们信了他，就可以因他的名得生命。
耶稣在提比哩亚海边显现
21 这些事以后，耶稣在提比哩亚海边又向门徒显现。他怎样显现记在下面。 2 有西门彼得和称为低土马的多马，并加利利的迦拿人拿但业，还有西庇太的两个儿子，又有两个门徒，都在一处。 3 西门彼得对他们说：“我打鱼去。”他们说：“我们也和你同去。”他们就出去，上了船，那一夜并没有打着什么。
得满网鱼
4 天将亮的时候，耶稣站在岸上，门徒却不知道是耶稣。 5 耶稣就对他们说：“小子，你们有吃的没有？”他们回答说：“没有。” 6 耶稣说：“你们把网撒在船的右边，就必得着。”他们便撒下网去，竟拉不上来了，因为鱼甚多。 7 耶稣所爱的那门徒对彼得说：“是主！”那时西门彼得赤着身子，一听见是主，就束上一件外衣，跳在海里。 8 其余的门徒离岸不远，约有二百肘[e]，就在小船上把那网鱼拉过来。 9 他们上了岸，就看见那里有炭火，上面有鱼又有饼。 10 耶稣对他们说：“把刚才打的鱼拿几条来。” 11 西门彼得就去[f]，把网拉到岸上。那网满了大鱼，共一百五十三条。鱼虽这样多，网却没有破。 12 耶稣说：“你们来吃早饭。”门徒中没有一个敢问他“你是谁？”，因为知道是主。 13 耶稣就来拿饼和鱼给他们。 14 耶稣从死里复活以后向门徒显现，这是第三次。
查彼得爱主之心
15 他们吃完了早饭，耶稣对西门彼得说：“约翰[g]的儿子西门，你爱我比这些更深吗？”彼得说：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣对他说：“你喂养我的小羊。” 16 耶稣第二次又对他说：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊，是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你牧养我的羊。” 17 第三次对他说：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣第三次对他说“你爱我吗”，就忧愁，对耶稣说：“主啊，你是无所不知的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你喂养我的羊。 18 我实实在在地告诉你：你年少的时候，自己束上带子，随意往来；但年老的时候，你要伸出手来，别人要把你束上，带你到不愿意的地方。” 19 耶稣说这话，是指着彼得要怎样死荣耀神。说了这话，就对他说：“你跟从我吧！” 20 彼得转过来，看见耶稣所爱的那门徒跟着，就是在晚饭的时候靠着耶稣胸膛，说“主啊，卖你的是谁”的那门徒。 21 彼得看见他，就问耶稣说：“主啊，这人将来如何？” 22 耶稣对他说：“我若要他等到我来的时候，与你何干？你跟从我吧！” 23 于是这话传在弟兄中间，说那门徒不死。其实耶稣不是说他不死，乃是说：“我若要他等到我来的时候，与你何干？”
24 为这些事作见证，并且记载这些事的，就是这门徒。我们也知道他的见证是真的。
25 耶稣所行的事还有许多，若是一一地都写出来，我想，所写的书就是世界也容不下了。

18 بَعْدَ أنْ قَالَ يَسُوعُ هَذَا، خَرَجَ هُوَ وتَلَامِيذُهُ وعَبَرَ وَادِي قَدْرُونَ. وكَانَ هُنَاكَ حَقلُ زَيْتُونٍ، فَدَخَلَهُ هُوَ وتلَامِيذُهُ.

15 وَكَانَ سِمْعَانُ بُطرُسُ وَتِلْمِيذٌ آخَرُ يَتْبَعَانِ يَسُوعَ. وَكَانَ هَذَا التِّلمِيذُ الآخَرُ مَعْرُوفًا لَدَىْ رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ فَدَخَلَ مَعَ يَسُوعَ إلَى فِنَاءِ دَارِ رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ. 16 أمَّا بُطرُسُ فَبَقِيَ خَارِجًا قُرْبَ البَوَّابَةِ. فَخَرَجَ التِّلمِيذُ الآخَرُ المَعرُوفُ لَدَى رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ وَكَلَّمَ الفَتَاةَ المَسؤُولَةَ عَنِ البَوَّابَةِ، وَأدخَلَ بُطْرُسَ مَعَهُ. 17 فَقَالَتِ الفَتَاةُ لِبُطرُسَ: «ألَسْتَ أنْتَ أيْضًا مِنْ أتبَاعِ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ؟» فَقَالَ بُطرُسُ: «لَا، لَسْتُ كَذَلِكَ!»
18 وَكَانَ الخُدَّامُ وَالحُرَّاسُ قَدْ أشعَلُوا نَارًا وَوَقَفُوا حَوْلَهَا يَتَدَفَّأُونَ، لِأنَّ الطَّقسَ كَانَ بَارِدًا. وَكَانَ بُطرُسُ وَاقِفَاَ يَتَدَفَّأُ مَعَهُمْ.
رَئِيسُ الكَهَنَةِ يَسْتَجْوِبُ يَسُوع

19 فَسَألَ رَئِيسُ الكَهَنَةِ يَسُوعَ عَنْ تَلَامِيذِهِ وَعَنْ تَعْلِيمِهِ. 20 فَأجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «كُنْتُ أُكَلِّمُ الجَمِيعَ عَلَنًا، وَعَلَّمتُ دَائِمًا فِي المَجَامِعِ وَفِي سَاحَةِ الهَيْكَلِ حَيْثُ يَجْتَمِعُ كُلُّ اليَهُودِ. وَلَمْ أقُلْ شَيْئًا فِي الخَفَاءِ. 21 فَلِمَاذَا تَسألُنِي؟ اسألِ الَّذِينَ سَمِعُوا مَا قُلْتُهُ لَهُمْ، فَهُمْ يَعْرِفُونَ بِالتَّأكِيدِ مَا كُنْتُ أقُولُهُ!»
22 فَلَمَّا قَالَ هَذَا، صَفَعَهُ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الحُرَّاسِ الوَاقِفِينَ هُنَاكَ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «كَيْفَ تَجْرُؤُ عَلَى مُخَاطَبَةِ رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ بِهَذِهِ الطَّرِيقَةِ؟»
23 فَأجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «إنْ كُنْتُ قَدْ أخْطَأتُ فِي شَيءٍ قُلْتُهُ، فَبَيِّنِ الخَطَأ أمَامَ الجَمِيعِ. أمَّا إنْ أصَبْتُ، فَلِمَاذَا تَضْرِبُنِي؟»
24 بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، أرسَلَهُ حَنَّانُ مُقَيَّدًا إلَى قَيَافَا رَئِيسِ الكَهَنَةِ الحَالِيِّ.
بُطرُسُ يُنكِرُ يَسُوعَ ثَانِيَةً

25 وَكَانَ سِمْعَانُ بُطرُسُ مَا يَزَالُ وَاقِفًا يَتَدَفَّأُ، فَسَألَهُ الوَاقِفُونَ مَعَهُ: «ألَسْتَ أنْتَ أيْضًا مِنْ أتبَاعِهِ؟» لَكِنَّهُ أنكَرَ وَقَالَ: «لَا، لَسْتُ كَذَلِكَ!»

بِيلَاطُسُ يَسْتَجْوِبُ يَسُوع

28 وَفِي الصَّبَاحِ البَاكِرِ سَاقُوا يَسُوعَ مِنْ بَيْتِ قَيَافَا إلَى قَصْرِ الوَالِي. لَكِنَّ اليَهُودَ لَمْ يَشَاءُوا أنْ يَدْخُلُوا دَارَ الوَالِي، لِأنَّهُمْ إنْ دَخَلُوا سَيَتَنَجَّسُونَ[c] وَلَنْ يَسْتَطِيعُوا أنْ يَأْكُلُوا طَعَامَ الفِصْحِ. 29 فَخَرَجَ بِيلَاطُسُ إلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ: «بمِاذَا تَتَّهِمُونَ هَذَا الإنْسَانَ؟»
30 فأجَابُوهُ: «لو لَمْ يَكُنْ هَذَا مُجرِمًا، لمَا سلَّمْنَاهُ إلَيْكَ!»
31 فَقَالَ لهم بيلَاطُسُ: «خُذُوهُ أنْتُمْ، وَاحكُمُوا عَلَيْهِ حَسَبَ شَرِيعَتِكُمْ.»
فَقَالَ لَهُ اليَهُودُ: «غَيْرُ مَسمُوحٍ لَنَا بَأنْ نَقتُلَ أحَدًا.» 32 حَدَثَ هَذَا لِكَي يَتَحَقَّقَ قَولُ يَسُوعَ حِينَ أشَارَ إلَى المِيتَةِ الَّتِي سَيَمُوتُهَا.
33 فَرَجِعَ بِيلَاطُسُ إلَى دَاخِلِ قَصْرِهِ. ثُمَّ استَدْعَى يَسُوعَ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «أأنْتَ مَلِكُ اليَهُودِ؟»
34 أجَابَ يَسُوعُ: «أمِنْ عِندِكَ تَقُولُ هَذَا، أمْ أنَّ آخَرِينَ أخبَرُوكَ عَنِّي؟»
35 أجَابَ بِيلَاطُسُ: «أتَحْسَبُنِي يَهُودِيًّا؟ شَعْبُكَ وَكِبَارُ الكَهَنَةِ هُمُ الَّذِينَ سَلَّمُوكَ إلِيَّ، فَمَاذَا فَعَلْتَ؟»
36 أجَابَ يَسُوعُ: «مَملَكَتِي لَا تَنْتَمِي إلَى هَذَا العَالَمِ. لَوْ كَانَتْ مَملَكتِي تَنْتَمِي إلَى هَذَا العَالَمِ، لَكَانَ أتبَاعِي يُحَارِبُونَ لِيَمْنَعُوا تَسْلِيمِي إلَى اليَهُودِ. لَكِنَّ مَملَكَتِي لَيْسَتْ مِنْ هُنَا.»
37 فَقَالَ لَهُ بِيلَاطُسُ: «فَأنْتَ مَلِكٌ إذَنْ؟» فَأجَابَ يَسُوعُ: «أنْتَ تَقُولُ إنِّي مَلِكٌ. لَقَدْ وُلِدتُ مِنْ أجْلِ هَدَفٍ، وَجِئْتُ إلَى هَذَا العَالَمِ مِنْ أجْلِ هَدَفٍ هُوَ أنْ أشهَدَ لِلحَقِّ. فَكُلُّ مَنْ هُوَ إلَى جَانِبِ الحَقِّ، يُصغِي إلَى صَوْتِي.»
38 فَسَألَهُ بِيلَاطُسُ: «وَمَا هُوَ الحَقُّ؟»
وَلَمَّا قَالَ هَذَا، خَرَجَ ثَانِيَةً إلَى اليَهُودِ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «لَا أجِدُ مَا أتَّهِمُهُ بِهِ! 39 وَلَقَدِ اعتَدْتُمْ أنْ أُخلِيَ لَكُمْ سَبِيلَ أحَدِ السُّجَنَاءِ فِي عِيدِ الفِصْحِ. فَهَلْ تُرِيدُونَ أنْ أُخلِيَ سَبِيلَ مَلِكِ اليَهُودِ؟»
40 فَصَرَخُوا ثَانِيَةً: «لَا لَيْسَ هَذَا! بَلْ أخلِ سَبِيلَ بَارَابَاسَ!» وَكَانَ بَارَابَاسُ مُجرِمًا!
19 فَأمَرَ بِيلَاطُسُ بِأنْ يُؤخَذَ يَسُوعُ وَيُجلَدَ. 2 فَصَنَعَ الجُنُودُ تَاجًا مِنَ الشَّوكِ وَوَضَعُوهُ عَلَى رَأسِهِ، ثُمَّ ألبَسُوهُ رِدَاءً أُرجُوانِيَّ اللَّونِ.[d] 3 وَكَانُوا يَأْتُونَ إلَيْهِ وَيَقُولُونَ: «نُحَيِّيكَ يَا مَلِكَ اليَهُودِ!» وَكَانُوا يَصْفَعُونَهُ.
4 ثُمَّ خَرَجَ بِيلَاطُسُ ثَانِيَةً وَقَالَ لَهمْ: «هَا أنَا أُخرِجُهُ إلَيكُمْ لِكَي تَعْلَمُوا أنِّي لَا أجِدُ مَا أتَّهِمُهُ بِهِ.» 5 فَخَرَجَ يَسُوعُ لَابِسًا تَاجَ الشَّوكِ وَالرِّدَاءَ الأُرجُوانِيَّ. فَقَالَ لَهُمْ بِيلَاطُسُ: «هَا هُوَ الرَّجُلُ!»
6 فَلَمَّا رَآهُ كِبَارُ الكَهَنَةِ وَحُرَّاسُ الهَيْكَلِ، صَرَخُوا: «اصلِبْهُ! اصلِبْهُ!» فَقَالَ لَهُمْ بِيلَاطُسُ: «أنْتُمْ خُذُوهُ وَاصلِبُوهُ! فَأنَا لَا أجِدُ مَا أتَّهِمُهُ بِهِ.» 7 فَأجَابَهُ اليَهُودُ: «لَدَيْنَا شَرِيعَةٌ، وَوَفقَ شَرِيعَتِنَا يَنْبَغِي أنْ يَمُوتَ هَذَا، لِأنَّهُ ادَّعَى أنَّهُ ابْنُ اللهِ!»
8 فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ بِيلَاطُسُ هَذَا خَافَ كَثِيرًا. 9 فَدَخَلَ إلَى قَصْرِ الوَالِي ثَانِيَةً وَقَالَ لِيَسُوعَ: «مِنْ أيْنَ أنْتَ؟» لَكِنَّ يَسُوعَ لَمْ يُجِبْهُ. 10 فَقَالَ لَهُ بِيلَاطُسُ: «أتَرْفُضُ أنْ تُكَلِّمَنِي؟ ألَا تَعْلَمُ أنَّنِي أملُكُ سُلطَةً لإخلَاءِ سَبِيلِكَ، وَسُلطَةً لِصَلْبِكَ؟»
11 أجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «مَا كُنْتَ لِتَمْلُكَ أيَّةَ سُلطَةٍ عَلَيَّ لَوْ لَمْ يُعطِكَ إيَّاهَا اللهُ. لِذَلِكَ فَإنَّ خَطِيَّةَ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي سَلَّمَنِي إلَيْكَ أعْظَمُ مِنْ خَطِيَّتِكَ.»
12 بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بَدَأ بِيلَاطُسُ يُحَاوِلُ أنْ يَجِدَ طَرِيقَةً لإطلَاقِ يَسُوعَ. لَكِنَّ اليَهُودَ صَرَخُوا: «إنْ أطلَقْتَهُ، فَلَسْتَ مُوالِيًا لِلقَيصَرِ! فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَقُولُ إنَّهُ مَلِكٌ هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لِلقَيصَرِ.»
13 فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ بِيلَاطُسُ هَذَا الكَلَامَ، أخْرَجَ يَسُوعَ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ عَلَى كُرسِيِّ القَضَاءِ فِي مَكَانٍ يُدْعَى «البَلَاطَ» وَبِالآرَامِيَّةِ «جَبَّاتَا.» 14 وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ ظُهْرَ يَوْمِ الجُمْعَةِ، يَوْمَ الاسْتِعدَادِ لِلفِصْحِ. فَقَالَ بِيلَاطُسُ لِليَهُودِ: «هَا هُوَ مَلِكُكُمْ!»
15 فَصَرَخُوا: «أبعِدْهُ عَنَّا! أبعِدْهُ! اصلِبْهُ!» فَقَالَ لَهُمْ بِيلَاطُسُ: «هَلْ أصلِبُ مَلِكَكُمْ؟» فَأجَابَهُ كِبَارُ الكَهَنَةِ: «لَيْسَ لَنَا مَلِكٌ سِوَى القَيصَرِ!»
16 حِينَئِذٍ سَلَّمَهُ بِيلَاطُسُ إلَيْهِمْ لِكَي يُصلَبَ.
يَسُوعُ عَلَى الصَّلِيب
(مَتَّى 27:32-44؛ مَرْقُس 15:21-32؛ لُوقَا 23:26-43)
فَأخَذَ الجُنُودُ يَسُوعَ. 17 فَمَضَى حَامِلًا صَلِيبَهُ إلَى مَكَانٍ يُدْعَى «مَكَانَ الجُمجُمَةِ،» وَبِالآرَامِيَّةِ «جُلجُثَةَ.» 18 فَصَلَبُوهُ هُنَاكَ، وَصَلَبُوا مَعْهُ رَجُلَينِ آخَرَينِ. فَكَانَ أحَدُهُمَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَالآخَرُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ، وَيَسُوعُ فِي الوَسَطِ.
19 وَكَتَبَ بِيلَاطُسُ لَافِتَةً تَقُولُ: «يَسُوعُ النَّاصِرِيُّ، مَلِكُ اليَهُودِ.» وَعَلَّقَهَا عَلَى الصَّلِيبِ. 20 فَقَرَأهَا كَثِيرُونَ مِنَ اليَهُودِ، لِأنَّ المَكَانَ الَّذِي صُلِبَ فِيهِ يَسُوعُ كَانَ قُرْبَ المَدِينَةِ. وَكَانَتِ اللَّافِتَةُ مَكْتُوبَةً بِالعِبرِيَّةِ وَاللَّاتِينِيَّةِ وَاليُونَانِيَّةِ.
21 فَقَالَ كِبَارُ كَهَنَةِ اليَهُودِ لِبِيلَاطُسَ: «لَا تَكْتُبْ ‹مَلِكَ اليَهُودِ،› بَلِ اكتُبْ: ‹قَالَ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ: أنَا مَلِكُ اليَهُودِ.›»
22 فَأجَابَ بِيلَاطُسُ: «فَاتَ الأوَانُ، فَقَدْ كَتَبْتُ مَا كَتَبْتُ.»
23 وَكَانَ الجُنُودُ، بَعْدَ أنْ صَلَبُوا يَسُوعَ، قَدْ أخَذُوا ثِيَابَهُ وَقَسَّمُوهَا إلَى أرْبَعَةِ أقسَامٍ. وَأخَذَ كُلُّ جُندِيٍّ قِسْمًا مِنْهَا. وَأخَذُوا أيْضًا قَمِيصَهُ الطَّوِيلَ، لَكِنَّ القَمِيصَ كَانَ قِطعَةً وَاحِدَةً مَنسُوجَةً بِغَيرِ خِيَاطَةٍ مِنَ الأعْلَى إلَى الأسفَلِ. 24 فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: «لَا نُمَزِّقُ هَذَا القَمِيصَ، بَلْ نُجرِي عَلَيْهِ قُرعَةً لِنَرَى لِمَنْ يَكُونُ.» حَدَثَ هَذَا لِكَي يَتَحَقَّقَ قَولُ الكِتَابِ:
«اقتَسَمُوا ثِيَابِي فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ،
وَعَلَى قَمِيصِي ألقَوْا قُرعَةً.»[e]
وَهَذَا مَا فَعَلَهُ الجُنُودُ.
25 وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ يَسُوعَ وَأُختُهَا، وَمَريَمُ زَوْجَةُ كِلُوبَا، وَمَريَمُ المَجْدَلِيَّةُ وَاقِفَاتٍ عِنْدَ الصَّلِيبِ. 26 فَرَأى يَسُوعُ أُمَّهُ وَالتِّلمِيذَ الَّذِي كَانَ يُحِبُّهُ وَاقِفَينِ هُنَاكَ. فَقَالَ لِأُمِّهِ: «يَا سَيِّدَةُ، هَا هُوَ ابْنُكِ.» 27 ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلتِّلمِيذِ: «هَا هِيَ أُمُّكَ.» فَأخَذَهَا ذَلِكَ التِّلمِيذُ لِتَعِيشَ فِي بَيْتِهِ مُنْذُ ذَلِكَ الوَقْتِ.
مَوْتُ يَسُوع
(مَتَّى 27:45-56؛ مَرْقُس 15:33-41؛ لُوقَا 23:44-49)
28 وَإذْ رَأى يَسُوعُ أنَّ كُلَّ شَيءٍ قَدْ تَمَّ، قَالَ: «أنَا عَطشَانُ،»[f] لِكَي يَتَحَقَّقَ مَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ. 29 وَكَانَ هُنَاكَ إنَاءٌ مَملُوءٌ بِالخَلِّ. فَغَمَسُوا إسْفِنجَةً فِي الخَلِّ وَرَفَعُوهَا عَلَى سَاقِ نَبتَةِ زُوفَا، وَوَضَعُوهَا عَلَى فَمِ يَسُوعَ. 30 فَلَمَّا ذَاقَ يَسُوعُ الخَلَّ، قَالَ: «قَدْ تَمَّ.» ثُمَّ حَنَى رَأسَهُ وَمَاتَ.
31 حَدَثَ ذَلِكَ يَوْمَ الاسْتِعدَادِ لِلسَّبْتِ، فَطَلَبَ اليَهُودُ مِنْ بِيلَاطُسَ أنْ يَأْمُرَ بِكَسْرِ سِيقَانِ المَصلُوبِينَ وَإنزَالِ أجسَادِهِمْ عَنِ الصُّلبَانِ، لِكَي لَا تَبْقَى الأجسَادُ عَلَى الصُّلبَانِ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ. فَقَدْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ السَّبْتُ يَومًا مُهِمًّا جِدًّا. 32 فَجَاءَ الجُنُودُ وَكَسَرُوا سَاقَي الرَّجُلَينِ المَصلُوبَينِ مَعَ يَسُوعَ.
33 أمَّا يَسُوعُ فَلَمْ يَكْسِرُوا سَاقَيهِ، لِأنَّهُمْ لَمَّا جَاءُوا إلَيْهِ وَجَدُوا أنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ. 34 لَكِنَّ وَاحِدًا مِنَ الجُنُودِ طَعَنَ جَنبَهُ بِرُمحِهِ، فَتَدَفَّقَ مِنْهُ عَلَى الفَوْرِ دَمٌ وَمَاءٌ. 35 وَمَنْ رَأى ذَلِكَ يَشْهَدُ، وَشَهَادَتُهُ صَادِقَةٌ، وَهُوَ يَعْرِفُ أنَّهُ يَقُولُ الصِّدْقَ، لِكَي تُؤمِنُوا أنْتُمْ أيْضًا. 36 وَقَدْ حَدَثَ هَذَا لِكَي يَتَحَقَّقَ قَولُ الكِتَابِ: «لَا يُكسَرُ عَظمٌ وَاحِدٌ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ.»[g] 37 وَقَولُهُ فِي مَوضِعٍ آخَرَ: «سَيَنْظُرُ النَّاسُ إلَى ذَاكَ الَّذِي طَعَنُوهُ.»[h]
دَفْنُ يَسُوع
(مَتَّى 27:57-61؛ مَرْقُس 15:42-47؛ لُوقَا 23:50-56)
38 بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ اسْمُهُ يُوسُفُ الرَّامِيُّ، وَطَلَبَ إذْنًا مِنْ بِيلَاطُسَ كَي يُنزِلَ جَسَدَ يَسُوعَ عَنِ الصَّلِيبِ وَيَأْخُذَهُ. وَكَانَ يُوسُفُ مِنْ أتبَاعِ يَسُوعَ فِي الخَفَاءِ، فَقَدْ كَانَ يَخْشَى اليَهُودَ! فَأذِنَ لَهُ بِيلَاطُسُ بِذَلِكَ. فَجَاءَ يُوسُفُ وَأنزَلَ الجَسَدَ عَنِ الصَّلِيبِ.
39 كَمَا جَاءَ أيْضًا نِيقُودِيمُوسُ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَانَ قَدْ جَاءَ إلَى يَسُوعَ لَيْلًا،[i] وَكَانَ يَحْمِلُ خَلِيطًا مِنْ خُلَاصَةِ نَبَاتَيِّ المُرِّ[j] وَالصَّبْرِ[k] يَزِنُ نَحْوَ خَمْسَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ كِيلُو غَرَامًا.[l] 40 فَأخَذَا جَسَدَ يَسُوعَ وَلَفَّاهُ بِالأكفَانِ مَعَ الأطيَابِ، حَسَبَ عَادَاتِ الدَّفْنِ اليَهُودِيَّةِ. 41 وَكَانَ هُنَاكَ بُستَانٌ فِي المَكَانِ الَّذِي صُلِبَ فِيهِ يَسُوعُ. وَكَانَ فِي البُستَانِ قَبْرٌ جَدِيدٌ لَمْ يُدفَنْ فِيهِ أحَدٌ مِنْ قَبْلُ. 42 فَوَضَعَا يَسُوعَ هُنَاكَ لِأنَّهُ كَانَ يَوْمَ استِعدَادِ اليَهُودِ لِلسَّبْتِ، وَلِأنَّ القَبْرَ كَانَ قَرِيبًا.
قِيَامَةُ يَسُوع
(مَتَّى 28:1-10؛ مَرْقُس 16:1-8؛ لُوقَا 24:1-12)
20 وَفِي صَبَاحِ يَوْمِ الأحَدِ، أوَّلِ أيَّامِ الأُسبُوعِ، ذَهَبَتْ مَريَمُ المَجْدَلِيَّةُ إلَى القَبْرِ. وَكَانَ الظَّلَامُ مَا زَالَ مُخَيِّمًا. فَرَأتْ أنَّ الصَّخرَةَ قَدْ أُزِيحَتْ عَنْ بَابِ القَبْرِ. 2 فَذَهَبَتْ مُسرِعَةً إلَى سِمْعَانَ بُطْرُسَ وَالتِّلمِيذِ الآخَرِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَسُوعُ يُحِبُّهُ، وَقَالَتْ لَهُمَا: «لَقَدْ أخَذُوا السَّيِّدَ مِنَ القَبْرِ، وَلَا نَدرِي أيْنَ وَضَعُوهُ!»
3 فَانطَلَقَ بُطرُسُ وَالتِّلمِيذُ الآخَرُ إلَى القَبْرِ. 4 كَانَا يَرْكُضَانِ مَعًا، لَكِنَّ التِّلمِيذَ الآخَرَ كَانَ أسْرَعَ مِنْ بُطْرُسَ، فَوَصَلَ إلَى القَبْرِ أوَّلًا. 5 فَانحَنَى لِيَنْظُرَ، فَرَأى الأكفَانَ مَوضُوعَةً هُنَاكَ، لَكِنَّهُ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ.
6 ثُمَّ وَصَلَ سِمْعَانُ بُطرُسُ الَّذِي كَانَ وَرَاءَهُ، وَدَخَلَ إلَى القَبْرِ. فَرَأى الأكفَانَ مَوضُوعَةً هُنَاكَ، 7 وَرَأى أنَّ المِندِيلَ الَّذِي كَانَ قَدْ وُضِعَ عَلَى رَأسِ يَسُوعَ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَ الأكفَانِ، بَلْ كَانَ مَطوِيًّا فِي مَكَانٍ مُنفَصِلٍ. 8 ثُمَّ دَخَلَ التِّلمِيذُ الآخَرُ الَّذِي وَصَلَ إلَى القَبْرِ أوَّلًا، فَرَأى وَآمَنَ. 9 فَالتَّلَامِيذُ لَمْ يَكُونُوا بَعْدُ قَدْ فَهِمُوا قَولَ الكِتَابِ عَنْ أنَّ يَسُوعَ لَا بُدَّ أنْ يَقُومَ مِنَ المَوْتِ.[m] 10 ثُمَّ عَادَ التِّلمِيذَانِ إلَى حَيْثُ يُقِيمَانِ.
يَسُوعُ يَظْهَرُ لِمَريَمَ المَجْدَلِيَّة
(مَرْقُس 16:9-11)
11 وَكَانَتْ مَريَمُ المَجْدَلِيَّةُ مَا زَالَتْ وَاقِفَةً خَارِجَ القَبْرِ تَبْكِي. وَفِيمَا هِيَ تَبْكِي انحَنَتْ لِتَنْظُرَ دَاخِلَ القَبْرِ. 12 فَرَأتْ مَلَاكَينِ فِي ثِيَابٍ بَيْضَاءَ جَالِسَينِ حَيْثُ كَانَ جَسَدُ يَسُوعَ مَوضُوعًا. أحَدُهُمَا عِنْدَ مَوضِعِ الرَّأسِ وَالآخَرُ عِنْدَ مَوضِعِ القَدَمَينِ.
13 فَقَالَا لَهَا: «لِمَاذَا تَبْكِينَ يَا امْرأةُ؟» فَقَالَتْ لَهُمَا: «لَقَدْ أخَذُوا سَيِّدِي، وَلَا أدرِي أيْنَ وَضَعُوهُ!»
14 وَعِنْدَمَا قَالَتْ هَذَا، نَظَرَتْ خَلفَهَا فَرَأتْ يَسُوعَ وَاقِفًا. غَيْرَ أنَّهَا لَمْ تُدرِكْ أنَّهُ يَسُوعُ.
15 فَقَالَ لَهَا يَسُوعُ: «لِمَاذَا تَبْكِينَ يَا امْرأةُ؟ عَمَّنْ تَبْحَثِينَ؟» فَظَنَّتْهُ البُستَانِيَّ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُ: «يَا سَيِّدُ، إنْ كُنْتَ أنْتَ مَنْ أخَذَهُ، فَقُلْ لِي أيْنَ وَضَعتَهُ فَأذْهَبَ وَآخُذَهُ.»
16 فَقَالَ لَهَا يَسُوعُ: «يَا مَريَمُ!» فَاسْتَدَارَتْ وَقَالَتْ لَهُ بِاللُّغَةِ الأرَامِيَّةِ: «رَابونِي!» أيْ «يَا مُعَلِّمِي العَظِيمُ!»
17 فَقَالَ لَهَا يَسُوعُ: «لَا تَتَمَسَّكِي بِي، فَأنَا لَمْ أصْعَدْ بَعْدُ إلَى الآبِ. لَكِنِ اذْهَبِي إلَى إخْوَتِي وَقُولِي لَهُمْ: ‹إنِّي سَأصْعَدُ إلَى أبِي وَأبِيكُمْ، وَإلَى إلَهِي وَإلَهِكُمْ.›»
18 فَذَهَبَتْ مَرْيَمُ المَجْدَلِيَّةُ وَقَالَتْ لِلتَّلَامِيذِ: «قَدْ رَأيْتُ الرَّبَّ!» وَأخبَرَتْهُمْ بِمَا قَالَهُ لَهَا.
يَسُوعُ يَظْهَرُ لِتَلَامِيذِه
(مَتَّى 28:16-20؛ مَرْقُس 16:14-18؛ لُوقَا 24:36-49)
19 وَفِي مَسَاءِ ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ، أوَّلِ أيَّامِ الأُسْبُوعِ، كَانَ التَّلَامِيذُ قَدِ اختَبَأُوا فِي مَكَانٍ مُغلَقِ الأبوَابِ خَوْفًا مِنَ اليَهُودِ. فَجَاءَ يَسُوعُ وَوَقَفَ أمَامَهُمْ وَقَالَ: «السَّلَامُ مَعَكُمْ.» 20 وَبَعْدَ أنْ قَالَ هَذَا، أرَاهُمْ يَدَيهِ وَجَنْبَهُ. فَفَرِحَ التَّلَامِيذُ حِينَ رَأوْا الرَّبَّ.
21 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ ثَانِيَةً: «السَّلَامُ مَعَكُمْ. كَمَا أرْسَلَنِي الآبُ، فَإنِّي أنَا أُرسِلُكُمُ الآنَ.» 22 وَبَعْدَ أنْ قَالَ هَذَا، نَفَخَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «اقبَلُوا الرُّوحَ القُدُسَ. 23 إنْ غَفَرْتُمْ خَطَايَا النَّاسِ، تُغفَرُ لَهُمْ. وَإنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرُوا خَطَايَاهُمْ، تَبْقَى غَيْرَ مَغفُورَةٍ.»[n]
يَسُوعُ يَظْهَرُ لِتُومَا
24 لَكِنَّ تُومَا لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُمْ حِينَ جَاءَ يَسُوعُ. وَتُومَا هُوَ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ التَّلَامِيذِ الِاثنَيْ عَشَرَ وَيَعْنِي اسْمُهُ «التَّوْأمَ.» 25 فَكَانَ التَّلَامِيذُ الآخَرُونَ يَقُولُونَ لَهُ: «لَقَدْ رَأينَا الرَّبَّ!» لَكِنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُمْ: «لَا أُصَدِّقُ ذَلِكَ إلَّا إذَا رَأيْتُ آثَارَ المَسَامِيرِ فِي يَدَيهِ، وَوَضَعتُ إصْبِعِي فِي آثَارِ المِسَامِيرِ، وَيَدِي فِي جَنْبِهِ!»
26 وَبَعْدَ ثَمَانِيَةِ أيَّامٍ، كَانَ تَلَامِيذُ يَسُوعَ مُجتَمِعِينَ مَعًا مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فِي الدَّاخِلِ، وَكَانَ تُومَا مَعَهُمْ. فَجَاءَ يَسُوعُ مَعَ أنَّ الأبْوَابَ كَانَتْ مُغلَقَةً. فَوَقَفَ أمَامَهُمْ وَقَالَ: «السَّلَامُ مَعَكُمْ.»
27 ثُمَّ قَالَ لِتُومَا: «تَعَالَ وَضَعْ إصبَعَكَ هُنَا وَانْظُرْ إلَى يَدَيَّ، وَضَعْ يَدَكَ فِي جَنْبِي. كَفَاكَ شَكًّا وَآمِنْ.»
28 فَقَالَ تُومَا: «رَبِّي وَإلَهِي!»
29 فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «هَلْ تُؤْمِنُ يَا تُومَا لِأنَّكَ رَأيْتَنِي؟ هَنِيئًا لِلَّذِينَ يُؤمِنُونَ دُونَ أنْ يَرَوْا.»
الهَدَفُ مِنْ هَذَا الكِتَاب
30 كَمَا صَنَعَ يَسُوعُ مُعجِزَاتٍ أُخْرَى كَثِيرَةً أمَامَ تَلَامِيذِهِ. لَكِنَّهَا لَمْ تُدَوَّنْ فِي هَذَا الكِتَابِ. 31 أمَّا هَذِهِ المُعجِزَاتُ فَقَدْ دُوِّنَتْ لِكَي تُؤْمِنُوا بِأنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ المَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللهِ، فَتَنَالُوا بِالإيمَانِ حَيَاةً بِاسْمِهِ.
يَسُوعُ يَظْهَرُ لِسَبْعَةٍ مِنْ تَلَامِيذِه
21 بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ظَهَرَ يَسُوعُ لِلتَّلَامِيذِ عِنْدَ بُحَيْرَةِ طَبَرِيَّةَ. وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى هَذَا النَّحوِ:
2 كَانَ سِمْعَانُ بُطرسُ وَتُومَا الَّذِي يَعْنِي اسْمُهُ «التَّوأمَ،» وَنَثَنَائِيلُ الَّذِي مِنْ بَلْدَةِ قَانَا فِي إقْلِيمِ الجَلِيلِ، وَابْنَا زَبَدِي وَتِلْمِيذَانِ آخَرَانِ مِنْ تَلَامِيذِ يَسُوعَ مَعًا.
3 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ سِمْعَانُ بُطرُسُ: «أنَا ذَاهِبٌ لَاصْطِيَادِ السَّمَكِ.» فَقَالُوا لَهُ: «وَنَحْنُ ذَاهِبُونَ مَعَكَ.» فَخَرَجُوا وَرَكِبُوا القَارِبَ، لَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَصْطَادُوا شَيْئًا فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيلَةِ.
4 وَفِي الصَّبَاحِ، وَقَفَ يَسُوعُ عَلَى الشَّاطِئِ. غَيْرَ أنَّ التَّلَامِيذَ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا أنَّهُ يَسُوعُ. 5 فَسَألَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «هَلْ لَدَيْكُمْ طَعَامٌ يَا فِتْيَةُ؟» فَأجَابُوهُ: «لَا.»
6 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «ألقُوا الشَّبَكَةَ إلَى الجَانِبِ الأيمَنِ مِنَ القَارِبِ تَجِدُوا سَمَكًا.» فَألقَوْهَا، لَكِنَّهُمْ عَجِزُوا عَنْ جَذْبِهَا لِكَثْرَةِ السَّمَكِ فِيهَا.
7 فَقَالَ التِّلْمِيذُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَسُوعُ يُحِبُّهُ لِبُطرُسَ: «إنَّهُ الرَّبُّ!» وَكَانَ سِمْعَانُ قَدْ خَلَعَ بَعْضَ ثِيَابِهِ لِلعَمَلِ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ سِمْعَانُ بُطْرُسُ أنَّهُ الرَّبُّ، شَدَّ ثَوْبَهُ حَوْلَهُ فَوْرًا وَقَفَزَ إلَى المَاءِ. 8 أمَّا التَّلَامِيذُ الآخَرُونَ فَجَاءُوا إلَى الشَّاطِئِ فِي القَارِبِ وَهُمْ يَجُرُّونَ الشَّبَكَةَ المَملوءَةَ بِالسَّمَكِ، إذْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا بَعِيدِينَ عَنِ البَرِّ أكْثَرَ مِنْ مِئَتِي ذِرَاعٍ.
9 وَعِنْدَمَا وَصَلُوا إلَى الشَّاطِئِ، رَأوْا هُنَاكَ جَمرًا وَسَمَكَةً تُشْوَى عَلَى الجَمْرِ وَخُبْزًا أيْضًا. 10 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «أحضِرُوا مِنَ السَّمَكِ الَّذِي اصطَدْتُمُوه.»
11 فَصَعِدَ سِمْعَانُ بُطرُسُ إلَى القَارِبِ وَجَذَبَ الشَّبَكَةَ إلَى الشَّاطِئِ. وَكَانَتِ الشَّبَكَةُ مَملوءَةً بِالسَّمَكِ الكَبِيرِ، حَتَّى إنَّ عَدَدَ الأسمَاكِ كَانَ مِئَةً وَثَلَاثًا وَخَمْسِينَ سَمَكَةً. وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ، فَإنَّ الشَّبَكَةَ لَمْ تَتَمَزَّقْ.
12 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «تَعَالَوْا وَأفطِرُوا!» لَكِنْ لَمْ يَجْرُؤْ أحَدٌ مِنَ التَّلَامِيذِ أنْ يَسألَهُ: مَنْ أنْتَ؟ فَقَدْ كَانُوا مُتَيَقِّنِينَ مِنْ أنَّهُ الرَّبُّ. 13 ثُمَّ قَامَ يَسُوعُ وَأخَذَ مِنَ الخُبْزِ وَأعْطَاهُمْ، وَكَذَلِكَ مِنَ السَّمَكَةِ.
14 كَانَتْ هَذِهِ هِيَ المَرَّةُ الثَّالِثَةُ الَّتِي ظَهَرَ فِيهَا يَسُوعُ لِتَلَامِيذِهِ بَعْدَ أنْ قَامَ مِنَ المَوْتِ.
يَسُوعُ يَتَحَدَّثُ مَعَ سِمْعَانَ بُطرُس
15 وَبَعدَمَا أكَلُوا، قَالَ يَسُوعُ لِسِمْعَانَ بُطْرُسَ: «قُلْ لِي يَا سِمْعَانُ بْنُ يُونَا، أتُحِبُّنِي أكْثَرَ مِمَّا يُحِبُّنِي هَؤُلَاءِ؟»
فَقَالَ لَهُ بُطرُسُ: «نَعَمْ يَا رَبُّ، أنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أنِّي أُحِبُّكَ.» فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «ارعَ خِرَافِي.»
16 فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ مَرَّةً ثَانِيَةً: «يَا سِمْعَانُ بْنُ يُونَا، أتُحِبُّنِي؟»
فَقَالَ لَهُ بُطرُسُ: «نَعَمْ يَا رَبُّ، أنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أنِّي أُحِبُّكَ.» فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «ارعَ غَنَمِي.»
17 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ مَرَّةً ثَالِثَةً: «يَا سِمْعَانُ بْنُ يُونَا، أتُحِبُّنِي؟» فَحَزِنَ بُطرُسُ لِأنَّ يَسُوعَ سَألَهُ: «أتُحِبُّنِي؟» مَرَّةً ثَالِثَةً. فَقَالَ بُطرُسُ لِيَسُوعَ: «يَا رَبُّ، أنْتَ تَعْلَمُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ، وَتَعْلَمُ أنِّي أُحِبُّكَ.» فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «ارعَ غَنَمِي.»
18 «أقُولُ الحَقَّ لَكَ: عِنْدَمَا كُنْتَ أصغَرَ سِنًّا، كُنْتَ تَلْبِسُ ثِيَابَكَ بِنَفْسِكَ وَتَذْهَبُ إلَى حَيْثُ تُرِيدُ، لَكِنْ حِينَ تَشِيخُ، فَإنَّكَ سَتَمُدُّ يَدَكَ، وَآخَرُونَ سَيُلبِسُونَكَ وَيَأْخُذُونَكَ إلَى حَيْثُ لَا تُرِيدُ.» 19 قَالَ هَذَا مُشِيرًا إلَى المِيتَةِ الَّتِي سَيَمُوتُهَا بُطرُسُ وَيُمَجِّدُ بِهَا اللهَ. ثُمَّ قَالَ يَسُوعُ لِبُطرُسَ: «اتبَعْنِي.»
20 فَالتَفَتَ بُطرُسُ وَرَأى التِّلمِيذَ الَّذِي يُحِبُّهُ يَسُوعُ يَتْبَعُهُمَا. وَهُوَ التِّلمِيذُ الَّذِي كَانَ قَدْ مَالَ عَلَى صَدرِ يَسُوعَ أثْنَاءَ عَشَاءِ الفِصْحِ[o] وَسَألَهُ: «مَنِ الَّذِي سَيَخُونُكَ يَا سَيِّدُ؟» 21 فَلَمَّا رَآهُ بُطرُسُ، قَالَ لِيَسُوعَ: «وَهَذَا، مَاذَا سَيَحْدُثُ لَهُ؟» 22 فَقَالَ يَسُوعُ لِبُطرُسَ: «افتَرِضْ أنِّي أُرِيدُهُ أنْ يَبْقَى حَيًّا إلَى أنْ آتِي، فَمَا شَأنُكَ؟ اتبَعْنِي أنْتَ!»
23 وَهَكَذَا انتَشَرَ الخَبَرُ بَيْنَ الإخوَةِ أنَّ ذَلِكَ التِّلمِيذَ لَنْ يَمُوتَ! لَكِنَّ يَسُوعَ لَمْ يَقُلْ إنَّهُ لَنْ يَمُوتَ، بَلْ قَالَ: «افتَرِضْ أنِّي أُرِيدُهُ أنْ يَبْقَى حَيًّا إلَى أنْ آتِيَ، فَمَا شَأنُكَ؟»
خَاتِمَة
24 هَذَا هُوَ التِّلمِيذُ الَّذِي يَشْهَدُ بِهَذِهِ الأُمُورِ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي دَوَّنَهَا. وَنَحْنُ نَعْلَمُ أنَّ شَهَادَتَهُ صَحِيحَةٌ. 25 وَهُنَاكَ أُمُورٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فَعَلَهَا يَسُوعُ. فَلَو دُوِّنَتْ كُلُّهَا بِالتَّفْصِيلِ، لَا أظُنَّ أنَّ العَالَمَ كُلَّهُ سَيَتَّسِعُ لِلكُتُبِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ سَتُكتَبُ!

Traición y arresto de Jesús
18 Después de haber dicho esto, Jesús salió con sus discípulos(A) al otro lado del torrente[a] Cedrón(B), donde había un huerto(C) en el cual entró Él con sus discípulos. 2 También Judas, el que le iba a entregar[b], conocía el lugar, porque Jesús se había reunido allí a menudo con sus discípulos(D). 3 (E)Entonces Judas, tomando la cohorte romana[c](F), y a varios alguaciles de los principales sacerdotes y de los fariseos(G), fue* allá con linternas, antorchas(H) y armas. 4 Jesús, pues, sabiendo(I) todo lo que le iba a sobrevenir, salió y les dijo*: ¿A quién buscáis(J)? 5 Ellos le respondieron: A Jesús el Nazareno. Él les dijo*: Yo soy[d]. Y Judas, el que le entregaba, estaba con ellos. 6 Y[e] cuando Él les dijo: Yo soy[f], retrocedieron y cayeron a tierra. 7 Jesús entonces volvió a preguntarles: ¿A quién buscáis(K)? 12 (O)Entonces la cohorte romana, el comandante[g] y los alguaciles(P) de los judíos prendieron a Jesús y le ataron, 13 y le llevaron primero ante Anás(Q), porque era suegro de Caifás, que era sumo sacerdote ese año(R). 14 Y Caifás era el que había aconsejado a los judíos que convenía que un hombre muriera por el pueblo(S).
Primera negación de Pedro
15 Y Simón Pedro seguía a Jesús, y también otro discípulo(T). Este discípulo era conocido del sumo sacerdote, y entró con Jesús al patio del sumo sacerdote(U), 16 (V)pero Pedro estaba fuera, a la puerta. Así que el otro discípulo, que era conocido del sumo sacerdote, salió y habló a la portera, e hizo entrar a Pedro. 17 Entonces la criada que cuidaba la puerta(W) dijo* a Pedro: ¿No eres tú también uno de los discípulos de este hombre? Y él dijo*: No lo soy(X). 18 Y los siervos y los alguaciles(Y) estaban de pie calentándose junto a unas brasas(Z) que habían encendido[h] porque hacía frío; y Pedro estaba también con ellos de pie y calentándose(AA).
Jesús ante el sumo sacerdote
19 (AB)Entonces el sumo sacerdote interrogó a Jesús acerca de sus discípulos y de sus enseñanzas. 20 Jesús le respondió: Yo he hablado al mundo abiertamente(AC); siempre enseñé en la sinagoga(AD) y en el templo(AE), donde se reúnen todos los judíos, y nada he hablado en secreto. 21 ¿Por qué me preguntas a mí? Pregúntales a los que han oído lo que hablé; he aquí, estos saben lo que he dicho. 22 Cuando dijo esto, uno de los alguaciles(AF) que estaba cerca, dio una bofetada a Jesús(AG), diciendo: ¿Así respondes al sumo sacerdote? 23 Jesús le respondió: Si he hablado mal, da testimonio de lo que he hablado mal; pero si hablé bien, ¿por qué me pegas(AH)? 24 Anás entonces le envió atado a Caifás, el sumo sacerdote(AI).
Pedro niega a Jesús otra vez
25 (AJ)Simón Pedro estaba de pie, calentándose(AK); entonces le dijeron: ¿No eres tú también uno de sus discípulos? Él lo negó y dijo: No lo soy(AL). 26 Uno de los siervos del sumo sacerdote, que era pariente de aquel a quien Pedro le había cortado la oreja(AM), dijo*: ¿No te vi yo en el huerto con Él(AN)? 27 Y[i] Pedro lo negó otra vez, y al instante cantó un gallo(AO).
Jesús ante Pilato
28 Entonces llevaron* a Jesús(AP) de casa de Caifás(AQ) al Pretorio[j](AR). Era muy de mañana. Y ellos no entraron al Pretorio[k](AS) para no contaminarse(AT) y[l] poder comer la Pascua. 29 (AU)Pilato entonces salió fuera hacia ellos y dijo*: ¿Qué acusación traéis contra este hombre? 30 Ellos respondieron, y le dijeron: Si este hombre no fuera malhechor, no te lo hubiéramos entregado. 31 Entonces Pilato les dijo: Llevadle vosotros, y juzgadle conforme a vuestra ley. Los judíos le dijeron: A nosotros no nos es permitido dar muerte a nadie. 32 Para que se cumpliera la palabra que Jesús había hablado, dando a entender de qué clase de muerte iba a morir(AV).
Diálogo entre Jesús y Pilato
33 Entonces Pilato volvió a entrar al Pretorio(AW), y llamó a Jesús y le dijo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los judíos(AX)? 34 Jesús respondió: ¿Esto lo dices por tu cuenta[m], o porque otros te lo han dicho de mí? 35 Pilato respondió: ¿Acaso soy yo judío? Tu nación y los principales sacerdotes te entregaron a mí. ¿Qué has hecho? 36 Jesús respondió: Mi reino no es de este mundo[n]. Si mi reino fuera de este mundo, entonces mis servidores pelearían para que yo no fuera entregado a los judíos; mas ahora mi reino no es de aquí(AY). 37 Pilato entonces le dijo: ¿Así que tú eres rey? Jesús respondió: Tú dices que soy rey(AZ). Para esto yo he nacido y para esto he venido al mundo, para dar testimonio de la verdad(BA). Todo el que es de la verdad escucha mi voz(BB). 38 Pilato le preguntó*: ¿Qué es la verdad?
Y habiendo dicho esto, salió otra vez adonde estaban los judíos(BC) y les dijo*: Yo no encuentro ningún delito en Él(BD). 39 (BE)Pero es costumbre entre vosotros que os suelte a uno en la Pascua. ¿Queréis, pues, que os suelte al Rey de los judíos? 40 Entonces volvieron a gritar, diciendo: No a este, sino a Barrabás(BF). Y Barrabás era un ladrón.
19 Pilato, pues, tomó entonces a Jesús y le azotó[o](BG). 2 (BH)Y los soldados tejieron una corona de espinas, la pusieron sobre su cabeza y le vistieron con un manto de púrpura; 3 y acercándose a Él, le decían: ¡Salve, Rey de los judíos(BI)! Y le daban bofetadas(BJ). 4 Pilato salió[p] otra vez(BK), y les dijo*: Mirad, os lo traigo fuera, para que sepáis que no encuentro ningún delito en Él(BL). 5 Jesús entonces salió fuera llevando la corona de espinas y el manto de púrpura(BM). Y Pilato les dijo*: ¡He aquí el Hombre! 6 Entonces, cuando le vieron los principales sacerdotes y los alguaciles(BN), gritaron, diciendo: ¡Crucifícale! ¡Crucifícale! Pilato les dijo*: Tomadle vosotros, y crucificadle, porque yo no encuentro ningún delito en Él(BO). 7 Los judíos le respondieron: Nosotros tenemos una ley, y según esa ley Él debe morir, porque pretendió ser[q] el Hijo de Dios(BP). 8 Entonces Pilato, cuando oyó estas palabras[r], se atemorizó aún más. 9 Entró de nuevo al Pretorio[s](BQ) y dijo* a Jesús: ¿De dónde eres tú? Pero Jesús no le dio respuesta(BR). 10 Pilato entonces le dijo*: ¿A mí no me hablas? ¿No sabes que tengo autoridad para soltarte, y que tengo autoridad para crucificarte? 11 Jesús respondió: Ninguna autoridad tendrías sobre mí[t] si no se te hubiera dado de arriba(BS); por eso el que me entregó a ti(BT) tiene mayor pecado. 12 Como resultado de esto, Pilato procuraba soltarle, pero los judíos gritaron, diciendo: Si sueltas a este, no eres amigo del César; todo el que se hace rey se opone al[u] César(BU). 13 Entonces Pilato, cuando oyó estas palabras, sacó fuera a Jesús y se sentó en el tribunal(BV), en un lugar llamado el Empedrado, y en hebreo[v](BW) Gabata. 14 Y era el día de la preparación para la Pascua(BX); era como la hora sexta[w](BY). Y Pilato dijo* a los judíos: He aquí vuestro Rey(BZ). 15 Entonces ellos gritaron: ¡Fuera! ¡Fuera(CA)! ¡Crucifícale! Pilato les dijo*: ¿He de crucificar a vuestro Rey? Los principales sacerdotes respondieron: No tenemos más rey que el César. 16 Así que entonces le entregó a ellos para que fuera crucificado(CB).
Crucifixión y muerte de Jesús
17 (CC)Tomaron, pues, a Jesús, y Él salió cargando su cruz[x](CD) al sitio llamado el Lugar de la Calavera(CE), que en hebreo[y](CF) se dice Gólgota, 18 donde le crucificaron, y con Él(CG) a otros dos, uno a cada lado y Jesús en medio. 19 Pilato también escribió un letrero y lo puso sobre la cruz. Y estaba escrito: JESÚS EL NAZARENO, EL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS(CH). 20 Entonces muchos judíos leyeron esta inscripción, porque el lugar donde Jesús fue crucificado quedaba cerca de la ciudad; y estaba escrita en hebreo[z](CI), en latín y en griego. 21 Por eso los principales sacerdotes de los judíos decían a Pilato: No escribas, «el Rey de los judíos»; sino que Él dijo: «Yo soy Rey de los judíos(CJ)». 22 Pilato respondió: Lo que he escrito, he escrito(CK).
23 Entonces los soldados(CL), cuando crucificaron a Jesús, tomaron sus vestidos e hicieron cuatro partes, una parte para cada soldado(CM). Y tomaron también la túnica[aa]; y la túnica era sin costura, tejida en una sola pieza[ab]. 24 Por tanto, se dijeron unos a otros: No la rompamos(CN); sino echemos suertes sobre ella, para ver de quién será; para que se cumpliera la Escritura(CO): Repartieron entre si mis vestidos, y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes[ac](CP). 25 Por eso los soldados hicieron esto. Y junto a la cruz de Jesús estaban su madre(CQ), y la hermana de su madre, María, la mujer de Cleofas(CR), y María Magdalena(CS). 26 Y[ad] cuando Jesús vio a su madre, y al discípulo a quien Él amaba(CT) que estaba allí cerca, dijo* a su madre: ¡Mujer(CU), he ahí tu hijo! 27 Después dijo* al discípulo: ¡He ahí tu madre! Y desde aquella hora el discípulo la recibió en su propia casa(CV).
28 Después de esto, sabiendo(CW) Jesús que todo se había ya consumado, para que se cumpliera la Escritura(CX), dijo*: Tengo sed(CY). 29 Había allí una vasija llena de vinagre; (CZ)colocaron, pues, una esponja empapada del vinagre en una rama de hisopo, y se la acercaron a la boca. 30 Entonces Jesús, cuando hubo tomado el vinagre, dijo: ¡Consumado es E inclinando la cabeza, entregó el espíritu(DB).
31 Los judíos entonces, como era el día de preparación(DC) para la Pascua, a fin de que los cuerpos no se quedaran en la cruz(DD) el día de reposo (porque ese día de reposo era muy solemne[af](DE)), pidieron a Pilato que les quebraran las piernas y se los llevaran. 32 Fueron, pues, los soldados y quebraron las piernas del primero, y también las del otro que había sido crucificado con Jesús[ag](DF); 33 pero cuando llegaron a Jesús, como vieron que ya estaba muerto, no le quebraron las piernas; 34 pero uno de los soldados le traspasó el costado con una lanza, y al momento salió sangre y agua(DG). 35 Y el que lo ha visto ha dado testimonio, y su testimonio es verdadero(DH); y él sabe que dice la verdad, para que vosotros también creáis. 36 Porque esto sucedió para que se cumpliera la Escritura(DI): No será quebrado[ah] hueso suyo(DJ). 37 Y también otra Escritura dice: Miraran al que traspasaron(DK).
Sepultura de Jesús
38 (DL)Después de estas cosas, José de Arimatea, que era discípulo de Jesús, aunque en secreto por miedo a los judíos(DM), pidió permiso a Pilato para llevarse el cuerpo de Jesús(DN). Y Pilato concedió el permiso. Entonces él vino, y se llevó el cuerpo de Jesús[ai]. 39 Y Nicodemo(DO), el que antes había venido a Jesús[aj] de noche, vino también, trayendo una mezcla[ak] de mirra y áloe(DP) como de cien libras[al](DQ). 40 Entonces tomaron el cuerpo de Jesús, y lo envolvieron en telas de lino(DR) con las especias aromáticas, como es costumbre sepultar(DS) entre los judíos. 41 En el lugar donde fue crucificado había un huerto, y en el huerto un sepulcro nuevo(DT), en el cual todavía no habían sepultado a nadie(DU). 42 Por tanto, por causa del día de la preparación(DV) de los judíos, como el sepulcro estaba cerca(DW), pusieron allí a Jesús.
La resurrección
20 (DX)Y el primer día de la semana María Magdalena(DY) fue* temprano al sepulcro, cuando todavía estaba* oscuro, y vio* que ya la piedra había sido quitada del sepulcro(DZ). 2 Entonces corrió* y fue* a Simón Pedro y al otro discípulo a quien Jesús amaba(EA), y les dijo*: Se han llevado al Señor del sepulcro, y no sabemos dónde le han puesto(EB). 3 Salieron, pues, Pedro y el otro discípulo, e iban hacia el sepulcro(EC). 4 Los dos corrían juntos, pero el otro discípulo corrió más aprisa que Pedro, y llegó primero al sepulcro; 5 e inclinándose para mirar adentro(ED), vio* las envolturas de lino(EE) puestas allí, pero no entró. 6 Entonces llegó* también Simón Pedro tras él, entró al sepulcro, y vio* las envolturas de lino puestas allí, 7 y el sudario(EF) que había estado sobre la cabeza de Jesús[am], no puesto con las envolturas de lino(EG), sino enrollado en un lugar aparte. 8 Entonces entró también el otro discípulo, el que había llegado primero al sepulcro(EH), y vio y creyó. 9 Porque todavía no habían entendido la Escritura(EI), que Jesús[an] debía resucitar de entre los muertos(EJ). 10 Los discípulos entonces se fueron de nuevo a sus casas[ao](EK).
Aparición de Jesús a María Magdalena

Aparición a los discípulos

Incredulidad de Tomás
24 Tomás, uno de los doce(FG), llamado el Dídimo[at](FH), no estaba con ellos cuando Jesús vino. 25 Entonces los otros discípulos le decían: ¡Hemos visto al Señor! Pero él les dijo: Si no veo en sus manos la señal de los clavos, y meto el dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y pongo la mano en su costado(FI), no creeré(FJ).
26 Ocho días después, sus discípulos estaban otra vez dentro, y Tomás con ellos. Y estando las puertas cerradas, Jesús vino* y se puso en medio de ellos, y dijo: Paz a vosotros(FK). 27 Luego dijo* a Tomás: Acerca aquí tu dedo, y mira mis manos; extiende aquí tu mano y métela en mi costado; y no seas incrédulo(FL), sino creyente. 28 Respondió Tomás y le dijo: ¡Señor mío y Dios mío! 29 Jesús le dijo*: ¿Porque me has visto has creído? El propósito de este evangelio según Juan

Jesús se manifiesta junto al mar

Diálogo de Jesús con Pedro

Jesús le dijo*: Apacienta mis corderos(GM). 16 Y volvió a decirle por segunda vez: Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me amas[bi]? Pedro le dijo*: Sí, Señor, tú sabes que te quiero[bj]. Jesús le dijo*: Pastorea mis ovejas(GN). 17 Le dijo* por tercera vez: Simón, hijo de Juan, ¿me quieres[bk]? Pedro se entristeció porque la tercera vez(GO) le dijo: ¿Me quieres[bl]? 24 Este es el discípulo que da testimonio de estas cosas(GZ) y el que escribió esto, y sabemos que su testimonio es verdadero.

Jesus é preso

18 Quando Jesus acabou de orar, atravessou o vale do Cedrom com os seus discípulos. Eles foram para o outro lado do vale, onde havia um jardim. 2 (Judas, o traidor, conhecia aquele lugar, pois Jesus costumava ir ali com seus discípulos.) 3 Então Judas foi para lá se encontrar com ele. Ele estava guiando alguns soldados romanos e um grupo de guardas do templo enviados pelos líderes dos sacerdotes e pelos fariseus. Eles estavam armados e levavam lanternas e tochas. 4 Jesus sabia tudo o que ia lhe acontecer. Por isso, deu alguns passos à frente e perguntou:
—Quem vocês estão procurando?
5 Eles responderam:
—Jesus de Nazaré.
Jesus disse:
—Eu sou![a]

6 Quando Jesus lhes disse: “Eu sou”, eles se afastaram e caíram no chão. 7 Então Jesus lhes perguntou outra vez:
—Quem vocês estão procurando?

Então, o discípulo que era conhecido do sumo sacerdote foi falar com a servidora que tomava conta da porta, e ela deixou Pedro entrar. 17 Então, aquela que tomava conta da porta perguntou a Pedro:
—Você por acaso não é também um dos discípulos de Jesus?
Pedro respondeu:
—Não, eu não sou!
18 Estava frio e, por causa disso, os empregados e os guardas do templo tinham feito uma fogueira e se aqueciam de pé em volta dela. Pedro estava junto com eles.
O sumo sacerdote interroga a Jesus
(Mt 26.59-66; Mc 14.55-64; Lc 22.66-71)
19 O sumo sacerdote estava fazendo perguntas a Jesus a respeito de seus discípulos e do seu ensino. 20 Jesus respondeu a ele:
—Eu tenho falado publicamente para todas as pessoas. Eu sempre ensinei nas sinagogas e no templo, onde os judeus se reúnem, e nunca disse nada em segredo. 21 Por que você está me fazendo todas estas perguntas? Interrogue as pessoas que me ouviram. Elas sabem muito bem o que eu disse.
22 Quando Jesus falou isto, um dos guardas que estavam ali lhe deu uma bofetada, e disse:
—É assim que se responde ao sumo sacerdote?
23 Jesus disse a ele:
—Se eu falei alguma coisa errada, diga a todos em que eu errei. Mas, se eu falei o que é certo, por que você me bate?
24 Anás então mandou que Jesus fosse levado, ainda amarrado, a Caifás, o sumo sacerdote.
Pedro nega a Jesus outra vez
(Mt 26.71-75; Mc 14.69-72; Lc 22.58-62)
25 Simão Pedro ainda estava lá, aquecendo-se perto da fogueira. Então lhe perguntaram:
—Você não é um dos discípulos deste homem?
Pedro negou e disse:
—Não sou.
26 Um dos criados do sumo sacerdote, parente do homem de quem Pedro tinha cortado a orelha, perguntou:
—Não foi você que eu vi no jardim com ele?
27 E mais uma vez Pedro negou. Nesse momento um galo cantou.
Jesus é entregue ao governador Pilatos
(Mt 27.1-2,11-31; Mc 15.1-20; Lc 23.1-25)
28 Depois disto, levaram Jesus da casa de Caifás para o palácio do governador romano. Já era de manhã cedo. Os judeus, porém, não entraram no palácio, pois queriam continuar puros[c] para poderem comer o jantar da Páscoa. 29 Então, Pilatos foi até lá fora e perguntou a eles:
—De que é que vocês acusam este homem?
30 Eles responderam:
—Se ele não fosse um criminoso, nós não o teríamos trazido até o senhor.
31 Então Pilatos disse aos judeus:
—Por que vocês não o levam e não o julgam vocês mesmos, de acordo com a lei de vocês?
Eles responderam:
—Nossa lei não permite matar ninguém.

—O meu reino não é deste mundo. Se ele fosse deste mundo, os meus servos lutariam para que eu não fosse entregue aos judeus. O meu reino não é deste mundo.
37 Pilatos disse:
—Então você é um Rei?
Jesus respondeu:
—O senhor está dizendo que eu sou Rei. Foi para falar sobre a verdade que eu nasci, e foi por causa disso que vim ao mundo. Todos os que estão do lado da verdade ouvem a minha voz.
38 Pilatos perguntou:
—O que é a verdade?
Depois de dizer isto, ele foi novamente para onde os judeus estavam e lhes disse:
—Eu não encontro nenhum motivo para condenar este homem. 39 Já que é um costume entre vocês que eu lhes solte um preso na época da Páscoa, vocês querem que eu solte o “Rei dos judeus”?
40 Então eles começaram a gritar, dizendo:
—Não, esse não. Solte Barrabás!
(Barrabás era um criminoso.)
Jesus é condenado à morte
19 Então Pilatos mandou que levassem a Jesus para ser açoitado. 2 Os soldados fizeram uma coroa de espinhos e a puseram na cabeça de Jesus, e o vestiram com um manto de púrpura. 3 Depois, chegavam perto dele e diziam:
—Viva o rei dos judeus!
E davam bofetadas nele.
4 E, mais uma vez, Pilatos saiu do palácio e disse aos judeus:
—Escutem, eu vou trazer Jesus aqui para fora. Eu quero que vocês saibam que não encontro nenhum motivo para condená-lo.
5 Então Jesus saiu do palácio usando a coroa de espinhos e vestido com o manto de púrpura. Pilatos disse aos judeus:

11 Jesus respondeu:
—O senhor só tem autoridade sobre mim porque essa autoridade lhe foi dada por Deus. Por isso, aquele que me entregou ao senhor é mais culpado do que o senhor.
12 Depois de ouvir isto, Pilatos tentou encontrar um jeito de soltar a Jesus. Os judeus, porém, gritavam:
—Se o senhor soltar esse homem, o senhor não é amigo do Imperador! Qualquer um que diz ser rei é inimigo do Imperador!
13 Ao ouvir o que os judeus diziam, Pilatos levou a Jesus para fora, para um lugar chamado Calçada de Pedra (em aramaico chamava-se Gabatá), e ali se sentou no tribunal. 14 Era por volta de meio-dia da sexta-feira da semana da Páscoa. Pilatos disse aos judeus:
—Aqui está o Rei de vocês!
15 Os judeus gritavam:
—Fora com ele! Fora com ele! Pregue-o na cruz!
Pilatos perguntou-lhes:
—Vocês querem que eu pregue o seu Rei numa cruz?
Os líderes dos sacerdotes responderam:
—O único rei que temos é o Imperador.
16 Então Pilatos entregou Jesus para ser pregado na cruz e os soldados o levaram.
Jesus é crucificado

17 Carregando a sua própria cruz, Jesus se dirigiu para um lugar chamado Caveira (que em aramaico chamava-se Gólgota.) 18 Ali pregaram a Jesus na cruz. E também outros dois homens foram pregados cada um em sua cruz com ele, um de cada lado e Jesus no meio. 19 Pilatos também mandou escrever uma placa que dizia: Jesus de Nazaré, rei dos judeus, e mandou colocá-la na cruz. 20 Muitos judeus puderam ler a placa porque o lugar onde Jesus foi pregado na cruz ficava perto da cidade e porque ela estava escrita em aramaico, latim e grego. 21 Os líderes dos sacerdotes disseram a Pilatos:
—Por favor, não escreva: “rei dos judeus”, mas escreva: Este homem disse: “Eu sou rei dos judeus”.
22 Pilatos respondeu:
—Aquilo que eu escrevi, escrevi!
23 Depois de terem pregado a Jesus na cruz, os soldados pegaram as roupas dele e as dividiram em quatro partes, uma para cada um. Pegaram também sua túnica, mas ela era feita de uma só peça de pano, sem costura. 24 Então disseram uns aos outros:
—Não vamos rasgar a túnica! Vamos tirar a sorte para ver quem fica com ela.
Isso aconteceu para que se cumprisse o que dizem as Escrituras:
“Dividiram a minha roupa entre si,
e tiraram a sorte pela minha túnica”.(A)
E os soldados assim o fizeram.
25 A mãe de Jesus estava perto da cruz junto com a irmã dela. Também lá estavam Maria, que era a mulher de Clopas, e Maria Madalena. 26 Quando Jesus viu que sua mãe e o discípulo que ele amava estavam ali, ele disse para sua mãe:
—Senhora, aí está o seu filho.
27 Depois disse ao discípulo:
—Aí está a sua mãe.
Daquele momento em diante, o discípulo a levou para morar em sua casa.
A morte de Jesus
(Mt 27.45-56; Mc 15.33-41; Lc 23.44-49)
28 Depois disto, Jesus percebeu que tudo já estava terminado. Mas, para que acontecesse o que dizem as Escrituras, ele disse:
—Tenho sede[e]!
29 Havia ali uma vasilha cheia de vinagre de vinho. Os soldados puseram uma esponja numa vara de hissopo, molharam-na no vinagre da vasilha e a levaram até a boca de Jesus. 30 Depois que Jesus provou o vinagre, disse:
—Está terminado! Então abaixou a cabeça e morreu.
31 Tudo isto aconteceu na sexta-feira. Os judeus não queriam que os corpos ficassem na cruz até o dia seguinte, pois era um sábado muito especial. Pediram então a Pilatos que mandasse quebrar as pernas dos homens e tirar os corpos de lá. 32 Quando os soldados chegaram, quebraram as pernas do homem que estava de um lado de Jesus. Depois quebraram as pernas do homem que estava do outro lado de Jesus. 33 Mas, quando chegaram perto de Jesus, viram que ele já estava morto e não quebraram as pernas dele. 34 Um dos soldados, porém, atravessou o lado de Jesus com uma lança, fazendo sair sangue e água. 35 (Quem viu isto acontecer deu testemunho e o seu testemunho é verdadeiro. Ele sabe que fala a verdade para que vocês possam ter fé.) 36 Foi assim para que se cumprisse o que dizem as Escrituras: “Nenhum dos seus ossos será quebrado”(B). 37 E também uma outra Escritura diz: “E eles olharão para aquele a quem traspassaram”(C).
O enterro de Jesus
(Mt 27.57-61; Mc 15.42-47; Lc 23.50-56)
38 Mais tarde, um homem de Arimateia chamado José pediu a Pilatos o corpo de Jesus. (José era um discípulo de Jesus, mas em segredo, porque tinha medo dos judeus.) Pilatos deu permissão a José e ele veio e levou o corpo de Jesus. 39 Nicodemos, aquele que tinha ido falar com Jesus à noite, também foi com José. Ele tinha levado um bálsamo feito de uma mistura de mirra e aloés que pesava uns trinta quilos[f]. 40 Os dois levaram o corpo de Jesus e o enrolaram em tiras de lençóis de linho perfumadas com o bálsamo. (Era assim que os judeus enterravam os mortos.) 41 Havia um jardim no lugar onde Jesus foi crucificado. Nesse jardim havia um túmulo novo, onde ninguém ainda tinha sido enterrado. 42 Puseram então o corpo de Jesus nesse túmulo, pois ficava perto e também porque os judeus estavam se preparando para o sábado.
A ressurreição de Jesus
(Mt 28.1-10; Mc 16.1-8; Lc 24.1-12)
20 No domingo bem cedo, quando ainda estava escuro, Maria Madalena foi ao túmulo e viu que a pedra tinha sido retirada da entrada. 2 Então Maria correu e foi se encontrar com Simão Pedro e o outro discípulo, aquele que Jesus amava, e lhes disse:
—Tiraram o Senhor do túmulo e não sabemos onde o puseram!
3 Ao ouvir isto, Pedro e o outro discípulo saíram e foram para o túmulo. 4 Ambos estavam correndo juntos, mas o outro discípulo correu mais depressa do que Pedro e chegou ao túmulo primeiro. 5 Ele se abaixou para olhar para dentro do túmulo e viu as tiras de lençóis de linho no chão, mas não entrou. 6 Simão Pedro, que vinha logo atrás, chegou e entrou no túmulo. Ele viu os lençóis de linho, 7 e viu também o lenço que tinha sido enrolado em volta da cabeça de Jesus. O lenço não estava junto com as tiras de lençóis, mas tinha sido dobrado e estava num lugar separado. 8 Então o outro discípulo, que tinha chegado ao túmulo primeiro, também entrou. Ele viu e creu. 9 (Eles ainda não tinham entendido as Escrituras, segundo as quais Jesus tinha que ressuscitar.)
Jesus aparece a Maria Madalena
(Mc 16.9-11)
10 Depois disto, os discípulos foram para casa. 11 Maria Madalena, porém, ficou chorando do lado de fora do túmulo. Enquanto chorava, ela se abaixou e olhou para dentro do túmulo. 12 Então, ela viu dois anjos vestidos de branco sentados no lugar onde o corpo de Jesus tinha estado. Um estava no lugar da cabeça e outro no lugar dos pés. 13 Eles lhe perguntaram:
—Por que a senhora está chorando?
Ela respondeu:
—Tiraram o meu Senhor daqui e eu não sei onde o puseram.
14 Ao dizer isto, ela se virou e viu Jesus ali em pé, mas não sabia que era ele. 15 Jesus lhe disse:
—Por que a senhora está chorando? Quem a senhora está procurando?
Maria pensou que ele fosse o jardineiro e respondeu:
—Se foi o senhor que o tirou daqui, diga-me onde o senhor o colocou e eu irei buscá-lo. 16 Jesus disse a ela:
—Maria!
Ela então se virou para ele e disse em aramaico:
—Raboni!—(que quer dizer “Mestre”).
17 Jesus lhe disse:
—Não me detenha, pois ainda não fui para o meu Pai. Vá e diga isto aos meus irmãos: “Eu vou subir para aquele que é meu Pai e Pai de vocês; meu Deus e Deus de vocês”.
18 Então Maria Madalena foi e disse aos discípulos:
—Eu vi o Senhor!
E contou a eles o que o Senhor tinha dito a ela.
Jesus aparece aos seus discípulos
(Mt 28.16-20; Mc 16.14-18; Lc 24.36-49)
19 Nesse mesmo domingo, ao anoitecer, os discípulos se reuniram. Como tinham medo dos judeus, trancaram as portas. Jesus apareceu no meio deles e disse:
—A paz esteja com vocês! 20 Depois de ter dito isto, Jesus mostrou a eles as suas mãos e o seu lado. Ao verem o Senhor, os discípulos ficaram muito alegres. 21 E Jesus disse de novo:
—A paz esteja com vocês! Assim como o Pai me enviou, eu agora também envio vocês. 22 Depois de ter dito isto, Jesus soprou sobre eles e disse:
—Recebam o Espírito Santo. 23 Sempre que vocês perdoarem os pecados de alguém, Deus também perdoará esses pecados, porém, se vocês não perdoarem esses pecados, Deus também não perdoará esses pecados.
Jesus aparece a Tomé
24 Tomé (chamado Dídimo), um dos doze discípulos, não estava com eles quando Jesus lhes apareceu. 25 Os outros discípulos disseram a Tomé:
—Vimos o Senhor!
Ele, porém, respondeu:
—Enquanto eu não vir as marcas dos pregos em suas mãos, não tocar nelas com o meu dedo e não puser a minha mão no seu lado, eu não acreditarei.
26 Uma semana depois, os discípulos se reuniram de novo e, desta vez, Tomé também estava com eles. As portas estavam trancadas, mas Jesus apareceu no meio deles e disse:
—A paz esteja com vocês!
27 Depois disse a Tomé:
—Ponha aqui o seu dedo e olhe para as minhas mãos. Estenda também a mão e ponha no meu lado. Não duvide mais, mas acredite.
28 Tomé respondeu:
—Meu Senhor e meu Deus!
29 Então Jesus lhe disse:
—Você acredita porque me viu? Felizes daqueles que acreditam sem me ver!
O propósito do livro
30 Certamente Jesus fez diante dos seus discípulos muitos outros milagres que não estão escritos neste livro. 31 Estes, porém, foram escritos para que vocês acreditem que Jesus é o Messias, o Filho de Deus, e para que, acreditando, tenham vida pelo seu nome.
Jesus aparece a sete discípulos
21 Depois disso, Jesus apareceu outra vez aos seus discípulos perto do Mar de Tiberíades.[g] Foi assim: 2 Estavam juntos Simão Pedro, Tomé (chamado Dídimo), Natanael (de Caná da Galileia), os dois filhos de Zebedeu e outros dois discípulos. 3 Simão Pedro disse aos outros:
—Vou pescar.
Os outros discípulos disseram:
—Nós também vamos com você.
Então eles foram e entraram no barco, mas naquela noite não pegaram nada. 4 De manhã, quando começou a clarear, Jesus estava na praia, mas os discípulos não sabiam que era ele. 5 Jesus perguntou a eles:
—Amigos, vocês não pescaram nada, não é verdade?
E eles responderam:
—É verdade.
6 Então Jesus disse a eles:
—Joguem a rede do lado direito do barco e vocês encontrarão alguma coisa.
Eles jogaram a rede e logo depois já não podiam puxá-la para dentro do barco por causa da grande quantidade de peixes.
7 O discípulo que Jesus amava disse a Pedro:
—É o Senhor!
Quando Pedro o ouviu dizer isto, amarrou o roupão à sua volta (pois o tinha tirado) e se jogou na água. 8 Os outros discípulos continuaram no barco, arrastando a rede cheia de peixes. Eles não estavam muito longe da praia, apenas a uns cem metros.[h] 9 Quando os discípulos desceram do barco, viram uma fogueira com peixes nas brasas, e pão. 10 Então Jesus disse:
—Tragam alguns dos peixes que vocês acabaram de pescar.
11 Simão Pedro entrou no barco e puxou a rede até à margem. A rede estava cheia com cento e cinquenta e três grandes peixes e, mesmo assim, ela não arrebentou. 12 Jesus lhes disse:
—Venham comer.
(Nenhum dos discípulos se atrevia a perguntar quem ele era, pois todos sabiam que era o Senhor.)
13 Jesus chegou perto, pegou o pão e repartiu entre eles. E fez a mesma coisa com os peixes. 14 (Esta foi a terceira vez que Jesus apareceu aos seus discípulos depois de ter ressuscitado dos mortos.)
Jesus fala com Pedro
15 Quando acabaram de comer, Jesus disse a Simão Pedro:
—Simão, filho de João, você me ama mais do que estes[i]?
Ele respondeu:
—Sim, Senhor, você sabe que eu o amo.
Jesus disse:
—Cuide das minhas ovelhas[j].
16 E pela segunda vez Jesus perguntou:
—Simão, filho de João, você me ama?
E ele respondeu:
—Sim, Senhor, você sabe que eu o amo.
Jesus disse:
—Cuide das minhas ovelhas.
17 E Jesus perguntou pela terceira vez:
—Simão, filho de João, você me ama?
Pedro ficou triste, por Jesus ter perguntado ainda uma terceira vez se ele o amava e disse:
—Senhor, você sabe tudo! Sabe que eu o amo.
Então Jesus lhe disse:
—Cuide das minhas ovelhas. 18 Digo-lhe a verdade: Quando você era jovem, você mesmo amarrava a sua roupa em torno de você e ia para onde queria. Quando, porém, ficar velho, você estenderá as mãos e outra pessoa o amarrará e o levará para onde você não vai querer ir. 19 (Jesus disse isto para mostrar a maneira pela qual Pedro iria morrer e glorificar a Deus.) Depois Jesus disse a Pedro:
—Siga-me!
20 Pedro se voltou e viu o discípulo que Jesus amava andando atrás dele. (Esse discípulo era o mesmo que se inclinara para perto de Jesus no dia do jantar, perguntando: “Senhor, quem vai traí-lo?”) 21 Quando Pedro o viu atrás deles, perguntou a Jesus:
—E quanto a ele, Senhor?
22 Jesus respondeu:
—Se eu quiser que ele fique aqui até eu voltar, o que você tem com isso? Quanto a você, siga-me!
23 Por causa disso, espalhou-se entre os seguidores de Jesus um boato de que aquele discípulo não morreria. Mas Jesus não tinha dito que o discípulo não iria morrer, mas sim: “Se eu quiser que ele fique aqui até eu voltar, o que você tem com isso?”
24 Este é o discípulo que dá testemunho a respeito destas coisas e que as escreveu. E sabemos que o seu testemunho é verdadeiro. 25 Jesus fez ainda muitas outras coisas. Se todas essas coisas fossem escritas, uma por uma, acho que nem no mundo inteiro caberiam os livros que seriam escritos.
