19 Now when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were [a]shut where the disciples were together due to (C)fear of the [b]Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and *said to them, (D)Peace be to you.” 20 And when He had said this, (E)He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then (F)rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, (G)Peace be to you; (H)just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders,(C) Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace(D) be with you!”(E) 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side.(F) The disciples were overjoyed(G) when they saw the Lord.

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you!(H) As the Father has sent me,(I) I am sending you.”(J) 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.(K)
