Jeremiah 31:31-33
New American Standard Bible
31 “(A)Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a (B)new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the (C)covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I (D)took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My (E)covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “For (F)this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “(G)I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and (H)I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Unbelief and Its Consequences
18 For (A)the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who (B)suppress the truth [a]in unrighteousness, 19 because (C)that which is known about God is evident [b]within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For (D)since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, (E)being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not [c]honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became (F)futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. 22 (G)Claiming to be wise, they became fools,

God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity
18 The wrath of God(A) is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.(B) 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made,(C) so that people are without excuse.(D)
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.(E) 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools(F)

14 For when Gentiles who do not have [a]the Law [b](A)instinctively perform the requirements of the Law, these, though not having [c]the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show (B)the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, 16 on the day when, (C)according to my gospel, (D)God will judge the secrets of mankind through Christ Jesus.

14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law,(A) they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets(B) through Jesus Christ,(C) as my gospel(D) declares.
