⁷ During His earthly life,^[a] He offered prayers and appeals^(A) with loud cries and tears^(B) to the One who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence. ⁸ Though He was God’s Son, He learned obedience through what He suffered.^{(C) 9} After He was perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him,
