14 Do not become proud at that time and forget the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt. 15 Do not forget that he led you through the great and terrifying wilderness with its poisonous snakes and scorpions, where it was so hot and dry. He gave you water from the rock!

14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget(A) the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness,(B) that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes(C) and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.(D)
