26 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and (A)the rulers were gathered together,
against the Lord and against his (B)Anointed’[a]—
27 for truly in this city there were gathered together against your (C)holy servant Jesus, (D)whom you anointed, both (E)Herod and (F)Pontius Pilate, along (G)with the Gentiles and (H)the peoples of Israel, 28 (I)to do whatever your hand and (J)your plan had predestined to take place. 29 And now, Lord, (K)look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all (L)boldness,

and the rulers band together
against the Lord

27 Indeed Herod(B) and Pontius Pilate(C) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,(D) whom you anointed. 28 They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.(E) 29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.(F)
