A quinta visão: o castiçal de ouro e as sete lâmpadas
4 E tornou o anjo que falava comigo, e me despertou, como a um homem que é despertado do seu sono, 2 e me disse: Que vês? E eu disse: Olho, e eis um castiçal todo de ouro, e um vaso de azeite no cimo, com as suas sete lâmpadas; e cada lâmpada posta no cimo tinha sete canudos. 3 E, por cima dele, duas oliveiras, uma à direita do vaso de azeite, e outra à sua esquerda. 4 E falei e disse ao anjo que falava comigo, dizendo: Senhor meu, que é isto? 5 Então, respondeu o anjo que falava comigo e me disse: Não sabes tu o que isto é? E eu disse: Não, Senhor meu. 6 E respondeu e me falou, dizendo: Esta é a palavra do Senhor a Zorobabel, dizendo: Não por força, nem por violência, mas pelo meu Espírito, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. 7 Quem és tu, ó monte grande? Diante de Zorobabel, serás uma campina; porque ele trará a primeira pedra com aclamações: Graça, graça a ela.
8 E a palavra do Senhor veio de novo a mim, dizendo: 9 As mãos de Zorobabel têm fundado esta casa, também as suas mãos a acabarão, para que saibais que o Senhor dos Exércitos me enviou a vós. 10 Porque quem despreza o dia das coisas pequenas? Pois esse se alegrará, vendo o prumo na mão de Zorobabel; são os sete olhos do Senhor, que discorrem por toda a terra.
11 Falei mais e disse-lhe: Que são as duas oliveiras à direita do castiçal e à sua esquerda? 12 E, falando-lhe outra vez, disse: Que são aqueles dois raminhos de oliveira que estão junto aos dois tubos de ouro e que vertem de si ouro? 13 E ele me respondeu, dizendo: Não sabes o que é isto? E eu disse: Não, Senhor meu. 14 Então, ele disse: Estes são os dois ungidos, que estão diante do Senhor de toda a terra.

O candelabro de ouro e as duas oliveiras
4 O anjo que estivera a falar comigo tornou a despertar-me, como se eu tivesse estado a dormir: 2 “Que vês tu agora?”
Respondi: “Um candelabro todo em ouro e um reservatório de azeite para alimentar as luzes através de sete tubos. 3 Vejo igualmente duas oliveiras, uma de cada lado.” 4 Então perguntei ao anjo: “Meu senhor, qual será o significado disto?”
5 “Não sabes o que simbolizam?”, perguntou o anjo.
“Não, senhor, não sei!”
6 Então ele disse-me: “Esta é a mensagem do Senhor para Zorobabel: Não pela força, nem pelo meu poder, mas pelo meu Espírito, diz o Senhor dos exércitos. 7 Por isso, nenhuma montanha, por mais alta que seja, poderá ficar de pé diante de Zorobabel! Será aplanada na sua frente! Zorobabel acabará por construir este templo, com altas exclamações de gratidão pela misericórdia de Deus, afirmando que tudo foi feito só pela sua graça.”
8 Recebi outra mensagem da parte do Senhor. 9 “Zorobabel pôs os alicerces deste templo e irá acabá-lo. Assim, saberão que foi o Senhor dos exércitos que me enviou. 10 Não desprezem os pequenos começos, porque os homens se alegram vendo o início desta obra, vendo o prumo nas mãos de Zorobabel. Estas sete luzes simbolizam os olhos do Senhor que tudo veem, em todo o mundo.”
11 Perguntei seguidamente quanto às duas oliveiras de cada lado do reservatório. 12 Também lhe perguntei quanto aos dois ramos de oliveira que escorriam azeite para dentro do candelabro de ouro, através dos tubos de ouro.
13 “Não sabes?”, inquiriu.
“Não, senhor!”, respondi.
14 Então disse-me: “Representam os dois ungidos que estão ao serviço do Senhor de toda a Terra.”

Fifth Vision: A Lampstand and Two Olive Trees
4 The Messenger-Angel again called me to attention. It was like being wakened out of deep sleep.
2-3 He said, “What do you see?”
I answered, “I see a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top. Seven lamps, each with seven spouts, are set on the bowl. And there are two olive trees, one on either side of the bowl.”
4 Then I asked the Messenger-Angel, “What does this mean, sir?”
5-7 The Messenger-Angel said, “Can’t you tell?”
“No, sir,” I said.
Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!’”
8-10 After that, the Word of God came to me: “Zerubbabel started rebuilding this Temple and he will complete it. That will be your confirmation that God-of-the-Angel-Armies sent me to you. Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They’ll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place!”
Going back to the vision, the Messenger-Angel said, “The seven lamps are the eyes of God probing the dark corners of the world like searchlights.”
11-12 “And the two olive trees on either side of the lampstand?” I asked. “What’s the meaning of them? And while you’re at it, the two branches of the olive trees that feed oil to the lamps—what do they mean?”
13 He said, “You haven’t figured that out?”
I said, “No, sir.”
14 He said, “These are the two who stand beside the Master of the whole earth and supply golden lamp oil worldwide.”

The Gold Lampstand and the Two Olive Trees
4 Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke(A) me up, like someone awakened from sleep.(B) 2 He asked me, “What do you see?”(C)
I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand(D) with a bowl at the top and seven lamps(E) on it, with seven channels to the lamps. 3 Also there are two olive trees(F) by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
4 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 He answered, “Do you not know what these are?”
“No, my lord,” I replied.(G)
6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:(H) ‘Not(I) by might nor by power,(J) but by my Spirit,’(K) says the Lord Almighty.
7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground.(L) Then he will bring out the capstone(M) to shouts(N) of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”
8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation(O) of this temple; his hands will also complete it.(P) Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me(Q) to you.
10 “Who dares despise the day(R) of small things,(S) since the seven eyes(T) of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone[a] in the hand of Zerubbabel?”(U)
11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees(V) on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
13 He replied, “Do you not know what these are?”
“No, my lord,” I said.
14 So he said, “These are the two who are anointed(W) to[b] serve the Lord of all the earth.”
