Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be (A)a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, (B)incorruptibility,[a] sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of [b]you.

Exhort (C)bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, 10 not [c]pilfering, but showing all good [d]fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

Trained by Saving Grace

11 For (D)the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 (E)looking for the blessed (F)hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 (G)who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed (H)and purify for Himself (I)His own special people, zealous for good works.

15 Speak these things, (J)exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

11 For the grace(I) of God has appeared(J) that offers salvation to all people.(K) 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions,(L) and to live self-controlled,(M) upright and godly lives(N) in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing(O) of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,(P) 14 who gave himself for us(Q) to redeem us from all wickedness(R) and to purify(S) for himself a people that are his very own,(T) eager to do what is good.(U)

15 These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
