120 A Jehová clamé estando en angustia,
Y él me respondió.
2 Libra mi alma, oh Jehová, del labio mentiroso,
Y de la lengua fraudulenta.
3 ¿Qué te dará, o qué te aprovechará,
Oh lengua engañosa?
4 Agudas saetas de valiente,
Con brasas de enebro.
5 ¡Ay de mí, que moro en Mesec,
Y habito entre las tiendas de Cedar!
6 Mucho tiempo ha morado mi alma
Con los que aborrecen la paz.
7 Yo soy pacífico;
Mas ellos, así que hablo, me hacen guerra.
Jehová es tu guardador

121 Alzaré mis ojos a los montes;
¿De dónde vendrá mi socorro?
2 Mi socorro viene de Jehová,
Que hizo los cielos y la tierra.
3 No dará tu pie al resbaladero,
Ni se dormirá el que te guarda.
4 He aquí, no se adormecerá ni dormirá
El que guarda a Israel.
5 Jehová es tu guardador;
Jehová es tu sombra a tu mano derecha.
6 El sol no te fatigará de día,
Ni la luna de noche.
7 Jehová te guardará de todo mal;
Él guardará tu alma.
8 Jehová guardará tu salida y tu entrada
Desde ahora y para siempre.

Conforme al testimonio dado a Israel,
Para alabar el nombre de Jehová.
5 Porque allá están las sillas del juicio,
Los tronos de la casa de David.
6 Pedid por la paz de Jerusalén;

Así nuestros ojos miran a Jehová nuestro Dios,
Hasta que tenga misericordia de nosotros.
3 Ten misericordia de nosotros, oh Jehová, ten misericordia de nosotros,
Porque estamos muy hastiados de menosprecio.
4 Hastiada está nuestra alma
Del escarnio de los que están en holgura,
Y del menosprecio de los soberbios.

124 A no haber estado Jehová por nosotros,
Diga ahora Israel;
2 A no haber estado Jehová por nosotros,
Cuando se levantaron contra nosotros los hombres,
3 Vivos nos habrían tragado entonces,
Cuando se encendió su furor contra nosotros.
4 Entonces nos habrían inundado las aguas;
Sobre nuestra alma hubiera pasado el torrente;
5 Hubieran entonces pasado sobre nuestra alma las aguas impetuosas.
6 Bendito sea Jehová,
Que no nos dio por presa a los dientes de ellos.
7 Nuestra alma escapó cual ave del lazo de los cazadores;
Se rompió el lazo, y escapamos nosotros.
8 Nuestro socorro está en el nombre de Jehová,
Que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
Dios protege a su pueblo

125 Los que confían en Jehová son como el monte de Sion,
Que no se mueve, sino que permanece para siempre.
2 Como Jerusalén tiene montes alrededor de ella,
Así Jehová está alrededor de su pueblo
Desde ahora y para siempre.
3 Porque no reposará la vara de la impiedad sobre la heredad de los justos;
No sea que extiendan los justos sus manos a la iniquidad.
4 Haz bien, oh Jehová, a los buenos,
Y a los que son rectos en su corazón.
5 Mas a los que se apartan tras sus perversidades,
Jehová los llevará con los que hacen iniquidad;
Paz sea sobre Israel.

126 Cuando Jehová hiciere volver la cautividad de Sion,
Seremos como los que sueñan.
2 Entonces nuestra boca se llenará de risa,
Y nuestra lengua de alabanza;
Entonces dirán entre las naciones:
Grandes cosas ha hecho Jehová con estos.
3 Grandes cosas ha hecho Jehová con nosotros;
Estaremos alegres.
4 Haz volver nuestra cautividad, oh Jehová,
Como los arroyos del Neguev.
5 Los que sembraron con lágrimas, con regocijo segarán.
6 Irá andando y llorando el que lleva la preciosa semilla;
Mas volverá a venir con regocijo, trayendo sus gavillas.
La prosperidad viene de Jehová

127 Si Jehová no edificare la casa,
En vano trabajan los que la edifican;
Si Jehová no guardare la ciudad,
En vano vela la guardia.
2 Por demás es que os levantéis de madrugada, y vayáis tarde a reposar,
Y que comáis pan de dolores;
Pues que a su amado dará Dios el sueño.
3 He aquí, herencia de Jehová son los hijos;
Cosa de estima el fruto del vientre.
4 Como saetas en mano del valiente,
Así son los hijos habidos en la juventud.
5 Bienaventurado el hombre que llenó su aljaba de ellos;
No será avergonzado
Cuando hablare con los enemigos en la puerta.
La bienaventuranza del que teme a Jehová

128 Bienaventurado todo aquel que teme a Jehová,
Que anda en sus caminos.
2 Cuando comieres el trabajo de tus manos,
Bienaventurado serás, y te irá bien.
3 Tu mujer será como vid que lleva fruto a los lados de tu casa;
Tus hijos como plantas de olivo alrededor de tu mesa.
4 He aquí que así será bendecido el hombre
Que teme a Jehová.
5 Bendígate Jehová desde Sion,
Y veas el bien de Jerusalén todos los días de tu vida,
6 Y veas a los hijos de tus hijos.

Para que seas reverenciado.
5 Esperé yo a Jehová, esperó mi alma;
En su palabra he esperado.

Aquí habitaré, porque la he querido.

A sus pobres saciaré de pan.
16 Asimismo vestiré de salvación a sus sacerdotes,

17 Allí haré retoñar el poder de David;
He dispuesto lámpara a mi ungido.(D)

120 (A)I cried to the Lord in my trouble,
And He answered me.
2 Rescue my soul, Lord, from (B)lying lips,
From a (C)deceitful tongue.
3 What will He give to you, and what more will He do to you,
You (D)deceitful tongue?
4 (E)Sharp arrows of the warrior,
With the burning (F)coals of the broom tree!
5 Woe to me, for I reside in (G)Meshech,
For I have settled among the (H)tents of (I)Kedar!
6 Too long has my soul had its dwelling
With those who (J)hate peace.
7 I (K)am for peace, but when I speak,
They are (L)for war.
The Lord, the Keeper of Israel.

121 I will (M)raise my eyes to (N)the mountains;
From where will my help come?
2 My (O)help comes from the Lord,
Who (P)made heaven and earth.
3 He will not (Q)allow your foot to slip;

Will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your [b](S)protector;
The Lord is your (T)shade on your right hand.

Nor the moon by night.

He will keep your soul.

2 Our feet are standing

As a city that is (AB)firmly joined together;
4 To which the tribes (AC)go up, the tribes of [f]the Lord—
[g]An ordinance for Israel—
To give thanks to the name of the Lord.
5 For (AD)thrones were set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the (AE)peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who (AF)love you.
7 May peace be within your (AG)walls,
And prosperity within your (AH)palaces.”
8 For the sake of my (AI)brothers and my friends,
I will now say, “(AJ)May peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will (AK)seek your good.

Until He is gracious to us.
3 (AP)Be gracious to us, Lord, be gracious to us,
For we have had much more than enough of (AQ)contempt.
4 Our soul has had much more than enough
Of the (AR)scoffing of (AS)those who are at ease,
And with the (AT)contempt of the proud.

The stream would have [h]swept over our souls;

The snare is broken and we have escaped.

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,

3 For the (BK)scepter of wickedness will not rest upon the [k]land of the righteous,
So that the righteous (BL)will not extend their hands to do wrong.
4 (BM)Do good, Lord, to those who are good
And to those who are (BN)upright in their hearts.
5 But as for those who (BO)turn aside to their (BP)crooked ways,
The Lord will lead them away with those who (BQ)practice injustice.

3 The Lord has done great things for us;
We are (BX)joyful.
4 Restore our fortunes, Lord,
As the [m](BY)streams in the [n]South.
5 Those who sow in (BZ)tears shall harvest with (CA)joyful shouting.
6 One who goes here and there weeping, carrying his bag of seed,

Around your table.
4 Behold, for so shall a man
Who fears the Lord be blessed.

4 The Lord (DC)is righteous;
He has cut up the (DD)ropes of the wicked.
5 May all who (DE)hate Zion
Be (DF)put to shame and turned backward;
6 May they be like (DG)grass upon the housetops,
Which withers before it [t]grows up;
7 With which the harvester does not fill his [u]hand,

132 Remember, Lord, in David’s behalf,

2 How he swore to the Lord
And vowed to (EG)the Mighty One of Jacob,

Or slumber to my eyelids,

6 Behold, we heard about it in (EL)Ephrathah,
We found it in the (EM)field of [ag]Jaar.
7 Let’s go into His [ah](EN)dwelling place;
Let’s (EO)worship at His (EP)footstool.
8 (EQ)Arise, Lord, to Your (ER)resting place,
You and the ark of Your (ES)strength.
9 May Your priests be (ET)clothed with righteousness,
And may Your (EU)godly ones sing for joy.
10 For the sake of Your servant David,
Do not turn away the face of Your (EV)anointed.
11 The Lord has (EW)sworn to David
A truth from which He will not turn back:
“I will set upon your throne one (EX)from the fruit of your body.
12 If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I will teach them,
Their sons also will (EY)sit upon your throne forever.”
13 For the Lord has (EZ)chosen Zion;
He has (FA)desired it as His dwelling place.
14 “This is My (FB)resting place forever;
Here I will (FC)dwell, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly (FD)bless her food;
I will (FE)satisfy her needy with bread.
16 I will also clothe her (FF)priests with salvation,
And her (FG)godly ones will sing aloud for joy.
17 I will make the (FH)horn of David spring forth there;
I have prepared a (FI)lamp for My anointed.
18 I will (FJ)clothe his enemies with shame,
But upon himself his (FK)crown will gleam.”
