⁸ Now if we died with Christ,^(A) we believe that we will also live with him,

¹⁴ For we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus^(A) and present us with you.

⁴ For he was crucified^(A) in weakness, but he lives^(B) by the power of God. For we also are weak in him,^(C) but in dealing with you we will live^(D) with him by God’s power.

⁵ Test^(E) yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.^[a]

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose^(A) again,^(B) in the same way, through Jesus,^(C) God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

⁹ For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord^(A) Jesus Christ,^{(B) 10} who died for us,^(C) so that whether we are awake or asleep,^(D) we may live together with him.^(E)
