Romans 3:19-4:8
New King James Version
19 Now we know that whatever (A)the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that (B)every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become [a]guilty before God. 20 Therefore (C)by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
God’s Righteousness Through Faith
21 But now (D)the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, (E)being witnessed by the Law (F)and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all [b]and on all who believe. For (G)there is no difference; 23 for (H)all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified [c]freely (I)by His grace (J)through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth (K)as a [d]propitiation (L)by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over (M)the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Boasting Excluded
27 (N)Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude (O)that a man is [e]justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29 Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, 30 since (P)there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
Abraham Justified by Faith(Q)
4 What then shall we say that (R)Abraham our (S)father[f] has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was (T)justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? (U)“Abraham believed God, and it was [g]accounted to him for righteousness.” 4 Now (V)to him who works, the wages are not counted [h]as grace but as debt.
David Celebrates the Same Truth
5 But to him who (W)does not work but believes on Him who justifies (X)the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also (Y)describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
7 “Blessed(Z) are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”

Free from Indwelling Sin
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, (A)who[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For (B)the law of (C)the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from (D)the law of sin and death. 3 For (E)what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, (F)God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who (G)do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

The Just Live by Faith
16 For (A)I am not ashamed of the gospel [a]of Christ, for (B)it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, (C)for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For (D)in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, (E)“The just shall live by faith.”

17 For if by the one man’s [a]offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore, as through [b]one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through (A)one[c] Man’s righteous act the free gift came (B)to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by (C)one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
20 Moreover (D)the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace (E)abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Israel Needs the Gospel
10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for [a]Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness (A)that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of (B)God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own (C)righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For (D)Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
