⁸But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.^(A)

¹³though formerly I was a blasphemer, ^(A)persecutor, and insolent opponent. But ^(B)I received mercy ^(C)because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,
