⁴ Or do you think lightly of ^(A)the riches of His ^(B)kindness and ^[a](C)restraint and ^(D)patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

^15 (A)It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that ^(B)Christ Jesus came into the world to ^(C)save sinners, among whom ^(D)I am foremost. ¹⁶ Yet for this reason I ^(E)found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might ^(F)demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those ^[a]who would believe in Him for eternal life.

⁶ Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, ^(A)compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and ^[a]truth; ⁷ who ^(B)keeps faithfulness for thousands, who forgives wrongdoing, violation of His Law, and sin; yet He ^(C)will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, ^(D)inflicting the ^[b]punishment of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”
