3 that speak of his Son, who was begotten of the seed of David as to the flesh, 4 and was with power identified as the Son of God by the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies since the time that Jesus Christ our Lord rose up from death. 5 By him we have received grace and apostleship to bring all manner of heathen peoples to the obedience of faith, which is in his name.

3 regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life[a](A) was a descendant of David,(B) 4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power[b](C) by his resurrection from the dead:(D) Jesus Christ our Lord.(E) 5 Through him we received grace(F) and apostleship to call all the Gentiles(G) to the obedience that comes from[c] faith(H) for his name’s sake.
