¹⁹ For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God^(A) to be revealed. ²⁰ For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it,^(B) in hope ²¹ that^[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay^(C) and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.^(D)

Jesus Prays for All Believers

³⁰ It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,^(A) who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness,^(B) holiness^(C) and redemption.^{(D) 31} Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”^[a](E)

¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,^(A) the new creation^(B) has come:^[a] The old has gone, the new is here!^(C)
