Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(A) clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(B) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(C) The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(D) Each of the four living creatures(E) had six wings(F) and was covered with eyes all around,(G) even under its wings. Day and night(H) they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord God Almighty,’[a](I)

who was, and is, and is to come.”(J)

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(K) and who lives for ever and ever,(L) 10 the twenty-four elders(M) fall down before him(N) who sits on the throne(O) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,(P)
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”(Q)

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures(A) and the twenty-four elders(B) fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp(C) and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers(D) of God’s people. And they sang a new song, saying:(E)

“You are worthy(F) to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood(G) you purchased(H) for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.(I)
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests(J) to serve our God,
and they will reign[a] on the earth.”(K)

11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.(L) They encircled the throne and the living creatures(M) and the elders.(N) 12 In a loud voice they were saying:

“Worthy is the Lamb,(O) who was slain,(P)
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”(Q)

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth(R) and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne(S) and to the Lamb(T)
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”(U)

14 The four living creatures(V) said, “Amen,”(W) and the elders(X) fell down and worshiped.(Y)

The Great Multitude in White Robes

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language,(A) standing before the throne(B) and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes(C) and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,(D)
who sits on the throne,(E)
and to the Lamb.”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders(F) and the four living creatures.(G) They fell down on their faces(H) before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”(I)

The Seventh Trumpet

15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet,(A) and there were loud voices(B) in heaven, which said:

“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,(C)
and he will reign for ever and ever.”(D)

16 And the twenty-four elders,(E) who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces(F) and worshiped God, 17 saying:

“We give thanks(G) to you, Lord God Almighty,(H)
the One who is and who was,(I)
because you have taken your great power
    and have begun to reign.(J)
18 The nations were angry,(K)
    and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,(L)
and for rewarding your servants the prophets(M)
and your people who revere your name,
    both great and small(N)
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

Seven Angels With Seven Plagues

15 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign:(A) seven angels(B) with the seven last plagues(C)—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. And I saw what looked like a sea of glass(D) glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious(E) over the beast(F) and its image(G) and over the number of its name.(H) They held harps(I) given them by God and sang the song of God’s servant(J) Moses(K) and of the Lamb:(L)

“Great and marvelous are your deeds,(M)
    Lord God Almighty.(N)
Just and true are your ways,(O)
    King of the nations.[a]
Who will not fear you, Lord,(P)
and bring glory to your name?(Q)
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
    and worship before you,(R)
for your righteous acts(S) have been revealed.”[b]

Threefold Hallelujah Over Babylon’s Fall

19 After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude(A) in heaven shouting:

“Hallelujah!(B)
Salvation(C) and glory and power(D) belong to our God,
for true and just are his judgments.(E)
He has condemned the great prostitute(F)
who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.
He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”(G)

And again they shouted:

“Hallelujah!(H)
The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.”(I)

The twenty-four elders(J) and the four living creatures(K) fell down(L) and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:

“Amen, Hallelujah!”(M)

Then a voice came from the throne, saying:

“Praise our God,
    all you his servants,(N)
you who fear him,
    both great and small!”(O)

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,(P) like the roar of rushing waters(Q) and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:

“Hallelujah!(R)
For our Lord God Almighty(S) reigns.(T)
Let us rejoice and be glad
    and give him glory!(U)
For the wedding of the Lamb(V) has come,
and his bride(W) has made herself ready.
