10 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

11 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

If any man have an ear, let him hear.

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

14 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

The Mighty Angel with the Little Book

10 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. (A)And a rainbow was on (B)his head, his face was like the sun, and (C)his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. (D)And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, (E)seven thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders [a]uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying [b]to me, (F)“Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land (G)raised up his [c]hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, (H)who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, (I)that there should be delay no longer, but (J)in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

John Eats the Little Book

Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.”

So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.”

And he said to me, (K)“Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”

10 Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, (L)and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, (M)my stomach became bitter. 11 And [d]he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”

The Two Witnesses

11 Then I was given (N)a reed like a measuring rod. [e]And the angel stood, saying, (O)“Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out (P)the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, (Q)for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will (R)tread the holy city underfoot for (S)forty-two months. And I will give power to my two (T)witnesses, (U)and they will prophesy (V)one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”

These are the (W)two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the [f]God of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, (X)fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. (Y)And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These (Z)have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

The Witnesses Killed

When they (AA)finish their testimony, (AB)the beast that ascends (AC)out of the bottomless pit (AD)will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of (AE)the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, (AF)where also [g]our Lord was crucified. (AG)Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations [h]will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, (AH)and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 (AI)And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, (AJ)and send gifts to one another, (AK)because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

The Witnesses Resurrected

11 (AL)Now after the three-and-a-half days (AM)the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And [i]they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” (AN)And they ascended to heaven (AO)in a cloud, (AP)and their enemies saw them. 13 In the same hour (AQ)there was a great earthquake, (AR)and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid (AS)and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 (AT)The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.

Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed

15 Then (AU)the seventh angel sounded: (AV)And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, (AW)“The [j]kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, (AX)and He shall reign forever and ever!” 16 And (AY)the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and (AZ)worshiped God, 17 saying:

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty,
The One (BA)who is and who was [k]and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power (BB)and reigned.
18 The nations were (BC)angry, and Your [l]wrath has come,
And the time of the (BD)dead, that they should be judged,
And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
And those who fear Your name, small and great,
And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

19 Then (BE)the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of [m]His covenant was seen in His temple. And (BF)there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, (BG)and great hail.

The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon

12 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out (BH)in labor and in pain to give birth.

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, (BI)a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. (BJ)His tail drew a third (BK)of the stars of heaven (BL)and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood (BM)before the woman who was ready to give birth, (BN)to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child (BO)who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was (BP)caught up to God and His throne. Then (BQ)the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there (BR)one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Satan Thrown Out of Heaven

And war broke out in heaven: (BS)Michael and his angels fought (BT)with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they [n]did not prevail, nor was a place found for [o]them in heaven any longer. So (BU)the great dragon was cast out, (BV)that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, (BW)who deceives the whole world; (BX)he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, (BY)“Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, (BZ)who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And (CA)they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, (CB)and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore (CC)rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! (CD)Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, (CE)because he knows that he has a short time.”

The Woman Persecuted

13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted (CF)the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 (CG)But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, (CH)that she might fly (CI)into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished (CJ)for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the serpent (CK)spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus [p]Christ.

The Beast from the Sea

13 Then [q]I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw (CL)a beast rising up out of the sea, (CM)having [r]seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a (CN)blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The (CO)dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads (CP)as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And (CQ)all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, (CR)“Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

And he was given (CS)a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to [s]continue for (CT)forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, (CU)His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him (CV)to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And (CW)authority was given him over every [t]tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, (CX)whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain (CY)from the foundation of the world.

(CZ)If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 (DA)He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; (DB)he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. (DC)Here is the [u]patience and the faith of the saints.

The Beast from the Earth

11 Then I saw another beast (DD)coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, (DE)whose deadly wound was healed. 13 (DF)He performs great signs, (DG)so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 (DH)And he deceives [v]those who dwell on the earth (DI)by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword (DJ)and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak (DK)and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, (DL)to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has [w]the mark or (DM)the name of the beast, (DN)or the number of his name.

18 (DO)Here is wisdom. Let him who has (DP)understanding calculate (DQ)the number of the beast, (DR)for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

The Lamb and the 144,000

14 Then I looked, and behold, [x]a (DS)Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him (DT)one hundred and forty-four thousand, [y]having His Father’s name (DU)written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, (DV)like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of (DW)harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song (DX)except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, (DY)for they are virgins. These are the ones (DZ)who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These (EA)were [z]redeemed from among men, (EB)being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. And (EC)in their mouth was found no [aa]deceit, for (ED)they are without fault [ab]before the throne of God.

The Proclamations of Three Angels

Then I saw another angel (EE)flying in the midst of heaven, (EF)having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—(EG)to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, (EH)“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; (EI)and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”

And another angel followed, saying, (EJ)“Babylon[ac] is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because (EK)she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, (EL)“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his (EM)mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself (EN)shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is (EO)poured out full strength into (EP)the cup of His indignation. (EQ)He shall be tormented with (ER)fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And (ES)the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

12 (ET)Here is the [ad]patience of the saints; (EU)here[ae] are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying [af]to me, “Write: (EV)‘Blessed are the dead (EW)who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, (EX)“that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow (EY)them.”

Reaping the Earth’s Harvest

14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel (EZ)came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, (FA)“Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come [ag]for You to reap, for the harvest (FB)of the earth is ripe.” 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Reaping the Grapes of Wrath

17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, (FC)who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, (FD)“Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into (FE)the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And (FF)the winepress was trampled (FG)outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, (FH)up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred [ah]furlongs.
