Prologue

The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave(A) him to show his servants what must soon take place.(B) He made it known by sending his angel(C) to his servant John,(D) who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God(E) and the testimony of Jesus Christ.(F) Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it,(G) because the time is near.(H)

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.(A) So be earnest and repent.(B) 20 Here I am! I stand at the door(C) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,(D) I will come in(E) and eat with that person, and they with me.

21 To the one who is victorious,(F) I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,(G) just as I was victorious(H) and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear(I) what the Spirit says to the churches.”
