9 a third of the creatures living in the sea[a] died, and a third of the ships were wrecked.
10 When the third angel blew his trumpet, a large star burning like a torch fell from the sky. It fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.(A) 11 The star was called “Wormwood,”[b] and a third of all the water turned to wormwood. Many people died from this water, because it was made bitter.(B)

9 a third(A) of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky(B) on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water(C)— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third(D) of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.(E)
