3 And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living-creature saying, “Come”. 4 And another horse— a fire-red one— went out. And to the one sitting on it, authority was given to him to take the peace[a] from the earth, and[b] that they will slay one another. And a great sword was given to him.
5 And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living-creature saying, “Come”. And I saw, and behold— there was a black horse, and the one sitting on it holding a balance-scale in his hand.

3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature(A) say, “Come!” 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one.(B) Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth(C) and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.
5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature(D) say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse!(E) Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
