17 Because you say, “(A)I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have no need of anything,” and you do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked, 18 I advise you to (B)buy from Me (C)gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and (D)white garments so that you may clothe yourself and (E)the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to apply to your eyes so that you may see. 19 (F)Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline; therefore be zealous and (G)repent.

17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’(A) But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.(B) 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire,(C) so you can become rich; and white clothes(D) to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness;(E) and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.(F) So be earnest and repent.(G)
