3 I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with the human race.(A) He will dwell with them and they will be his people[a] and God himself will always be with them [as their God].[b] 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, [for] the old order has passed away.”(B)
5 The one who sat on the throne[c] said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then he said, “Write these words down, for they are trustworthy and true.”(C)

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.(A) They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.(B) 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.(C) There will be no more death’[a](D) or mourning or crying or pain,(E) for the old order of things has passed away.”(F)
5 He who was seated on the throne(G) said, “I am making everything new!”(H) Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”(I)
