⁷ One of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.^(A)

The First Bowl

16 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels,^(A) “Go and pour out the seven^[a] bowls^(B) of God’s wrath on the earth.”

The New Jerusalem

⁹ Then one of the seven angels, who had held the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues,^(A) came and spoke with me: “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
