5 and from Jesus Christ, who is a faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and Lord over the kings of the earth.

To him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 and made us kings and priests unto God his Father, be glory and dominion forevermore. Amen. 7 Behold, he comes with clouds, and all eyes shall see him, and they also who pierced him. And all the kindreds of the earth shall wail. Even so. Amen.

5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,(A) the firstborn from the dead,(B) and the ruler of the kings of the earth.(C)

To him who loves us(D) and has freed us from our sins by his blood,(E) 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests(F) to serve his God and Father(G)—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.(H)

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”[a](I)
    and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;(J)
    and all peoples on earth “will mourn(K) because of him.”[b]
So shall it be! Amen.
