Psalm 119:49-104

⁴⁹ Remember the word to Your servant,
^[a]In which You have made me hope.
⁵⁰ This is my ^(A)comfort in my misery,
That Your word has ^[b]revived me.
⁵¹ The arrogant ^(B)utterly deride me,
Yet I do not ^(C)turn aside from Your Law.
⁵² I have ^(D)remembered Your judgments from ^[c]of old, Lord,
And comfort myself.
⁵³ Burning ^(E)indignation has seized me because of the wicked,
Who ^(F)abandon Your Law.
⁵⁴ Your statutes are my songs
In the house of my ^(G)pilgrimage.
⁵⁵ Lord, I ^(H)remember Your name ^(I)in the night,
And keep Your Law.
⁵⁶ This has become mine,
^[d]That I ^(J)comply with Your precepts.

⁵⁷ The Lord is my ^(K)portion;
I have ^[e]promised to ^(L)keep Your words.
⁵⁸ I ^(M)sought Your favor ^(N)with all my heart;
^(O)Be gracious to me ^(P)according to Your ^[f]word.
⁵⁹ I ^(Q)considered my ways
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
⁶⁰ I hurried and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
⁶¹ The ^(R)snares of the wicked have surrounded me,
But I have ^(S)not forgotten Your Law.
⁶² At ^(T)midnight I will rise to give thanks to You
Because of Your ^(U)righteous judgments.
⁶³ I am a ^(V)companion to all those who ^[g]fear You,
And to those who keep Your precepts.
^64 (W)The earth is full of Your goodness, Lord;
^(X)Teach me Your statutes.

⁶⁵ You have treated Your servant well,
Lord, according to Your word.
⁶⁶ Teach me good ^[h](Y)discernment and knowledge,
For I believe in Your commandments.
^67 (Z)Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
⁶⁸ You are ^(AA)good and You ^(AB)do good;
^(AC)Teach me Your statutes.
⁶⁹ The arrogant ^[i]have ^(AD)forged a lie against me;
With all my heart I will ^(AE)comply with Your precepts.
⁷⁰ Their heart is ^(AF)insensitive, like fat,
But I ^(AG)delight in Your Law.
⁷¹ It is ^(AH)good for me that I was afflicted,
So that I may learn Your statutes.
⁷² The ^(AI)Law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

^73 (AJ)Your hands made me and ^[j]fashioned me;
^(AK)Give me understanding, so that I may learn Your commandments.
⁷⁴ May those who ^[k]fear You ^(AL)see me and be glad,
Because I ^[l](AM)wait for Your word.
⁷⁵ I know, Lord, that Your judgments are ^(AN)righteous,
And that You have afflicted me ^(AO)in faithfulness.
⁷⁶ May Your favor ^[m]comfort me,
According to Your ^[n]word to Your servant.
⁷⁷ May ^(AP)Your compassion come to me so that I may live,
For Your Law is my ^(AQ)delight.
⁷⁸ May ^(AR)the arrogant be put to shame, because they lead me astray ^(AS)with a lie;
But I shall ^(AT)meditate on Your precepts.
⁷⁹ May those who ^[o]fear You turn to me,
And those who know Your testimonies.
⁸⁰ May my heart be ^[p](AU)blameless in Your statutes,
So that I will not ^(AV)be ashamed.

⁸¹ My ^(AW)soul languishes for Your salvation;
I ^[q](AX)wait for Your word.
⁸² My ^(AY)eyes fail with longing for Your ^[r]word,
^[s]While I say, “When will You comfort me?”
⁸³ Though I have ^(AZ)become like a wineskin in the smoke,
I do ^(BA)not forget Your statutes.
⁸⁴ How many are the ^(BB)days of Your servant?
When will You ^(BC)execute judgment on those who persecute me?
⁸⁵ The arrogant have ^(BD)dug pits for me,
People who are not in accord with Your Law.
⁸⁶ All Your commandments are ^(BE)faithful;
They have ^(BF)persecuted me with a lie; ^(BG)help me!
⁸⁷ They almost destroyed me on earth,
But as for me, I ^(BH)did not abandon Your precepts.
⁸⁸ Revive me according to Your faithfulness,
So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.

^89 (BI)Forever, Lord,
Your word stands in heaven.
⁹⁰ Your ^(BJ)faithfulness continues ^[t]throughout generations;
You ^(BK)established the earth, and it ^(BL)stands.
⁹¹ They stand this day by Your ^(BM)ordinances,
For ^(BN)all things are Your servants.
⁹² If Your Law had not been my ^(BO)delight,
Then I would have perished ^(BP)in my misery.
⁹³ I will ^(BQ)never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have ^[u](BR)revived me.
⁹⁴ I am Yours, ^(BS)save me;
For I have ^(BT)sought Your precepts.
⁹⁵ The wicked ^(BU)wait for me to destroy me;
I will diligently consider Your testimonies.
⁹⁶ I have seen ^[v]a limit to all perfection;
Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

⁹⁷ How I ^(BV)love Your Law!
It is my ^(BW)meditation all the day.
⁹⁸ Your ^(BX)commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
For they are ever ^[w]mine.
⁹⁹ I have more insight than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my ^(BY)meditation.
¹⁰⁰ I understand ^(BZ)more than those who are old,
Because I have ^(CA)complied with Your precepts.
¹⁰¹ I have ^(CB)restrained my feet from every evil way,
So that I may keep Your word.
¹⁰² I have not ^(CC)turned aside from Your judgments,
For You Yourself have taught me.
¹⁰³ How ^(CD)sweet are Your ^[x]words to my ^[y]taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
¹⁰⁴ From Your precepts I ^(CE)get understanding;
Therefore I ^(CF)hate every false way.
