Psalm 60:3-12

⁴ You have set up ^(D)a banner for those who fear you,
    that they may flee to it ^(E)from the bow.^[a] Selah
^5 (F)That your ^(G)beloved ones may be delivered,
    give salvation by your right hand and answer us!

⁶ God has spoken ^(H)in his holiness:^[b]
    “With exultation ^(I)I will divide up ^(J)Shechem
    and portion out the Vale of ^(K)Succoth.
^7 (L)Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
    ^(M)Ephraim is ^(N)my helmet;
    Judah is my ^(O)scepter.
^8 (P)Moab is my washbasin;
    upon Edom I ^(Q)cast my shoe;
    over ^(R)Philistia I shout in triumph.”^[c]

⁹ Who will bring me to the fortified city?
    ^(S)Who will lead me to Edom?
¹⁰ Have you not ^(T)rejected us, O God?
    You ^(U)do not go forth, O God, with our armies.
¹¹ Oh, grant us help against the foe,
    for ^(V)vain is the salvation of man!
¹² With God we shall ^(W)do valiantly;
    it is he who will ^(X)tread down our foes.
