⁴ Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
⁵ Sing to the Lord with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
⁶ With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King.

⁷ Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;
⁸ Let the rivers clap their hands;
Let the hills be joyful together
⁹     before the Lord,
^(F)For He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He shall judge the world,
And the peoples with ^[b]equity.

⁸ “For^(A) My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
⁹ “For^(B) as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

¹⁰ “For ^(C)as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
^11 (D)So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me ^[a]void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall ^(E)prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

¹² “For^(F) you shall go out with joy,
And be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills
Shall ^(G)break forth into singing before you,
And ^(H)all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

^2 (C)Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ^[b]ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence ^(D)the enemy and the avenger.

³ When I ^(E)consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
^4 (F)What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You ^(G)visit^[c] him?
⁵ For You have made him a little lower than ^[d]the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

^6 (H)You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
^(I)You have put all things under his feet,
⁷ All sheep and oxen—
Even the beasts of the field,
⁸ The birds of the air,
And the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas.

^9 (J)O Lord, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

⁴ For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth.
⁵ He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

^6 (B)By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the ^(C)host of them ^(D)by the breath of His mouth.
^7 (E)He gathers the waters of the sea together ^[b]as a heap;
He lays up the deep in storehouses.

⁸ Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
⁹ For ^(F)He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.

^10 (G)The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
^11 (H)The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
¹² Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has ^(I)chosen as His own inheritance.

^13 (J)The Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men.
¹⁴ From the place of His dwelling He looks
On all the inhabitants of the earth;
¹⁵ He fashions their hearts individually;
^(K)He ^[c]considers all their works.
