Praise to the Lord for His Holiness

99 The Lord reigns;
Let the peoples tremble!
(A)He dwells between the cherubim;
Let the earth be [a]moved!
The Lord is great in Zion,
And He is high above all the peoples.
Let them praise Your great and awesome name—
[b]He is holy.

The King’s strength also loves justice;
You have established equity;
You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His footstool—
He is holy.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
And Samuel was among those who (B)called upon His name;
They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.
He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar;
They kept His testimonies and the [c]ordinance He gave them.

You answered them, O Lord our God;
You were to them God-Who-Forgives,
Though You took vengeance on their deeds.
Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His holy hill;
For the Lord our God is holy.

15 (A)“So I turned and came down from the mountain, and (B)the mountain burned with fire; and the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands. 16 And (C)I looked, and behold, you had sinned against the Lord your God—had made for yourselves a molded calf! You had turned aside quickly from the way which the Lord had commanded you. 17 Then I took the two tablets and threw them out of my two hands and (D)broke them before your eyes. 18 And I (E)fell[a] down before the Lord, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you committed in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. 19 (F)For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which the Lord was angry with you, to destroy you. (G)But the Lord listened to me at that time also. 20 And the Lord was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him; so I prayed for Aaron also at the same time. 21 Then I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire and crushed it and ground it very small, until it was as fine as dust; and I (H)threw its dust into the brook that descended from the mountain.

22 “Also at (I)Taberah and (J)Massah and (K)Kibroth Hattaavah you [b]provoked the Lord to wrath. 23 Likewise, (L)when the Lord sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, ‘Go up and possess the land which I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and (M)you did not believe Him nor obey His voice. 24 (N)You have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew you.

Jesus Rejoices in the Spirit(A)

21 (B)In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 22 (C)All[a] things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and (D)no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

23 Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, (E)“Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; 24 for I tell you (F)that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.
