Praise to the Lord for His Holiness

99 The Lord reigns;
Let the peoples tremble!
^(A)He dwells between the cherubim;
Let the earth be ^[a]moved!
²The Lord is great in Zion,
And He is high above all the peoples.
³Let them praise Your great and awesome name—
^[b]He is holy.

⁴The King’s strength also loves justice;
You have established equity;
You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
⁵Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His footstool—
He is holy.

⁶Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
And Samuel was among those who ^(B)called upon His name;
They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.
⁷He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar;
They kept His testimonies and the ^[c]ordinance He gave them.

⁸You answered them, O Lord our God;
You were to them God-Who-Forgives,
Though You took vengeance on their deeds.
⁹Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His holy hill;
For the Lord our God is holy.

9 “Hear, O Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to heaven, ²a people great and tall, the ^(B)descendants of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you heard it said, ‘Who can stand before the descendants of Anak?’ ³Therefore understand today that the Lord your God is He who ^(C)goes over before you as a ^(D)consuming fire. ^(E)He will destroy them and bring them down before you; ^(F)so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you.

⁴^(G)“Do not think in your heart, after the Lord your God has cast them out before you, saying, ‘Because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to possess this land’; but it is ^(H)because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out from before you. ⁵^(I)It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may ^[a]fulfill the ^(J)word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

¹¹Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch ^(A)which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed. ¹²So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? ¹³^(B)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, ^(C)glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you ^(D)delivered up and ^(E)denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. ¹⁴But you denied ^(F)the Holy One ^(G)and the Just, and ^(H)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵and killed the ^[a]Prince of life, ^(I)whom God raised from the dead, ^(J)of which we are witnesses. ¹⁶^(K)And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
