³⁴When he killed them, they ^(A)sought him;
they repented and sought God earnestly.

³⁴Whenever God slew them, they would seek^(A) him;
they eagerly turned to him again.

³⁴When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.

²Then ^(A)the people cried out to Moses, ^(B)and Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire died down.

²When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed^(A) to the Lord^(B) and the fire died down.

²And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the Lord, the fire was quenched.
