Psalm 64:4-6

English Standard Version

⁴shooting from ^(A)ambush at the blameless,
    shooting at him suddenly and ^(B)without fear.
⁵They ^(C)hold fast to their evil purpose;
    they talk of ^(D)laying snares secretly,
thinking, ^(E)“Who can see them?”
⁶    They search out injustice,
saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.”
    For ^(F)the inward mind and heart of a man are deep.

they shoot suddenly, without fear.^(B)

⁵They encourage each other in evil plans,
    they talk about hiding their snares;^(C)
    they say, “Who will see it^[a]?”^(D)
⁶They plot injustice and say,
    “We have devised a perfect plan!”
    Surely the human mind and heart are cunning.
