^8 (A)Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
    because of my enemies;
    ^(B)make your way straight before me.

¹⁰ even there your hand shall ^(A)lead me,
    and your right hand shall hold me.

²⁴ And see if there be any grievous way in me,
    and ^(A)lead me in ^(B)the way everlasting!^[a]

^10 (A)Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God!
^(B)Let your good Spirit ^(C)lead me
    on ^(D)level ground!

^11 (A)He will tend his flock like a shepherd;
    ^(B)he will gather the lambs in his arms;
^(C)he will carry them in his bosom,
    and gently lead those that are with young.

^10 (A)they shall not hunger or thirst,
    neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them,
for he who has pity on them ^(B)will lead them,
    and by springs of water will guide them.
