New American Standard Bible

9 He (A)makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He (B)breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He (C)burns the chariots with fire.
10 “[a]Stop striving and (D)know that I am God;
I will be (E)exalted among the [b]nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”
11 The Lord of armies is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah

New International Version

9 He makes wars(A) cease
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow(B) and shatters the spear;
    he burns the shields[a] with fire.(C)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;(D)
    I will be exalted(E) among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob(F) is our fortress.(G)
