Psalm 39:7-12

⁷ “And now, Lord, for what do I wait?
My ^(A)hope is in You.
^8 (B)Save me from all my wrongdoings;
Do not make me an object of ^(C)reproach for the foolish.
⁹ I have become ^(D)mute, I do not open my mouth,
Because it is ^(E)You who have done it.
^10 (F)Remove Your plague from me;
Because of ^(G)the opposition of Your hand I am ^[a]perishing.
¹¹ With ^(H)rebukes You punish a person for wrongdoing;
You ^(I)consume like a moth what is precious to him;
Certainly ^(J)all mankind is mere breath! Selah

¹² “^(K)Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help;
Do not be silent ^(L)to my tears;
For I am ^(M)a stranger with You,
^(N)One who lives abroad, like all my fathers.
