Psalm 39:7-12
New American Standard Bible
7 “And now, Lord, for what do I wait?
My (A)hope is in You.
8 (B)Save me from all my wrongdoings;
Do not make me an object of (C)reproach for the foolish.
9 I have become (D)mute, I do not open my mouth,
Because it is (E)You who have done it.
10 (F)Remove Your plague from me;
Because of (G)the opposition of Your hand I am [a]perishing.
11 With (H)rebukes You punish a person for wrongdoing;
You (I)consume like a moth what is precious to him;
Certainly (J)all mankind is mere breath! Selah
12 “(K)Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help;
Do not be silent (L)to my tears;
For I am (M)a stranger with You,
(N)One who lives abroad, like all my fathers.
