9 Fear the Lord,(A) you his holy people,
for those who fear him lack nothing.(B)
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.(C)
11 Come, my children, listen(D) to me;
I will teach you(E) the fear of the Lord.(F)
12 Whoever of you loves life(G)
and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue(H) from evil
and your lips from telling lies.(I)
14 Turn from evil and do good;(J)
seek peace(K) and pursue it.

4 “Let all who are simple(F) come to my house!”
To those who have no sense(G) she says,
5 “Come,(H) eat my food
and drink the wine I have mixed.(I)
6 Leave your simple ways and you will live;(J)
walk in the way of insight.”(K)
