3 O Lord, You have (A)brought up my soul from [a]Sheol;
You have kept me alive, [b]that I would not (B)go down to the pit.
4 (C)Sing praise to the Lord, you (D)His godly ones,
And (E)give thanks to His holy [c](F)name.
5 For (G)His anger is but for a moment,
His (H)favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may (I)last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
