Psalm 23:4-6
Easy-to-Read Version

4 Even if I walk through a valley as dark as the grave,[a]
    I will not be afraid of any danger, because you are with me.
    Your rod and staff[b] comfort me.
5 You prepared a meal for me in front of my enemies.
    You welcomed me as an honored guest.[c]
    My cup is full and spilling over.
6 Your goodness and mercy will be with me all my life,
    and I will live in the Lord’s house[d] a long, long time.[e]

4 Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a](A)
I will fear no evil,(B)
    for you are with me;(C)
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table(D) before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;(E)
    my cup(F) overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love(G) will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
