but whose delight(A) is in the law of the Lord,(B)
    and who meditates(C) on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree(D) planted by streams(E) of water,(F)
    which yields its fruit(G) in season
and whose leaf(H) does not wither—
    whatever they do prospers.(I)

Instead of doing those things,
    these persons love the Lord’s Instruction,
    and they recite God’s Instruction day and night!
They are like a tree replanted by streams of water,
    which bears fruit at just the right time
    and whose leaves don’t fade.
        Whatever they do succeeds.

    in the Teaching of the Lord,
and they think about it
    day and night.

    growing beside a stream,
trees that produce
fruit in season
    and always have leaves.
Those people succeed
    in everything they do.
