Psalm 18:38-42

New International Version

³⁸ I crushed them^(A) so that they could not rise;^(B)
    they fell beneath my feet.^(C)
39 You armed me with strength^(D) for battle;
    you humbled my adversaries^(E) before me.
⁴⁰ You made my enemies turn their backs^(F) in flight,
    and I destroyed^(G) my foes.
⁴¹ They cried for help, but there was no one to save them^(H)—
    to the Lord, but he did not answer.^(I)
42 I beat them as fine as windblown dust;^(J)
    I trampled them^[a] like mud in the streets.
